Manicure of the Moment

Greetings, gentle readers. I hope that everyone is having a terrific weekend.

Today I have Sinful Colors Fiji for your perusal. Fiji is a sheer, shimmery, medium purple jelly with a little frost and is just a tiny bit brushstroke-y. This polish requires a lot of coats. I applied three. I could have used a fourth but I don't have all day to paint my nails, today. And I need it to dry sometime before Christmas, so... Three coats it was. I don't have VNL but my tips are pretty sheer and that got more pronounced when I applied a coat of CGFF.

I think that this polish is beginning to grow on me. To be honest, when I first applied it I wasn't all that thrilled with it. And I almost cleaned it off and started over with a different color. That time thing told me no. lol So, I went out and took pics in diffused daylight. What the hell is it with the sky, lately. It is brightly sunny and clear until I decide to do my nails and photograph them. Then, bam! Clouds as far as the eye can see. *Phoo!*

So, I was sitting here, under an incandescent light, beginning to type an entry and looking at my polish and still tossing around the idea of shit canning it when I saw it. The Pink Flash. A duochrome-y shift. Of pink. "Woman, you are out of your mind." I told myself. "That polish is just reflecting your pink shirt." I turned my hand away so that it couldn't possibly be reflecting my shirt, held my nails to the light and there it was! That pink shift. So I grabbed my lotion bottle and posed my nails on it (I am a lazy slag, I didn't feel like digging out the polish bottle, which I had already put away :P) and tried to get pictures of it.

I got a few. The pics don't show the pink shift as well as it shows in person but I hope that you will be able to see it. This discovery has definitely saved this polish's life. It took it from a just meh, run of the mill slightly frosty soft purple to something downright interesting.

Would you like to see pictures? This is going to be a bit of a picture dump. I am doing that a lot, lately, aren't I? lol

So, there you have it. The little colour that could. Pics are clickable, to see more detail, if you desire.

Thank you so much for popping in. I really appreciate it when you come by. :D Have a great Caturday night and may your polish never bubble.
