I Die

Hello gentle readers.

Yesterday a little gem landed in my mailbox. A little gem by the name of OPI DS Signature. This is my very first DS polish and now I am wondering why I waited so long to try this particular line.

This. Polish. Is. Stunning. With a capital S. This polish indoors looks like a pretty, ladylike rose pink with a soft shimmer. When direct light hits it, the rainbow linear holo begins to light up along the length of the nail. Then sun hits it and it explodes. The holo in this polish is incredible. Beautiful. Stunning. Amazing. It dances and shimmers and flies off the surface of the nail and socks you in the eyes, leaving you utterly dazzled.

The formula is perfect. Not too thin, not too thick. It flows off the Pro Wide brush onto the nail in smooth, even strokes. It nearly applies it's self. Application is easy. No streaking or dragging. No bald spots, no bubbles. You can go over prior strokes without mucking it up. But you won't need to, much. This polish applied so dreamily that I had very little cleanup. Just a little refining of my gap here and there and a tiny bit on the sides. Two coats makes it opaque and Seche Vite just ups the shine and sparkle. Top coat doesn't seem to dim the holo, at all. Dry time is great.

I love, love, love this polish. So much that I took 66 pictures of it. And a video, too. I narrowed the number down a lot. But I am still going to dump a pile of photographs on you. And the video, too. So, buckle up.

All photos taken in direct late morning sun. Some show the holo in the bottle, some on the nail. I wasn't able to capture the holo on the nail as I would have liked. As nice as it looks in photographs, it is a hundred times more gorgeous and holo in person.

I only wish my nails were longer so that I could enjoy even more of this holo goodness dancing up and down my nails.

I need moar DS polishes, now. Original. Glamour. Reflection. Chiffon. Sapphire. Desire. Mystery... And on and on... *sigh* My greedy side has kicked in full force. And I am officially deeply in love with linear holo.

Now, if we could just convince China Glaze to re release OMG and Kaleidoscope. I got into this whol nail fanatic thing too late to get my hot little hands on those collections. And I know I am not the only person who would love to buy them. I still see a few of them here and there but the secondary market prices are just way too high for me.

Okay, I need to run along. Thank you so much for popping in. Have a terrific day and may your polish never bubble.
