Hello gentle readers. How is everyone this fine day?
Today, I finished my manicure. I stamped shamrocks with my Born Pretty plate and China Glaze 2030. This particular image fought me a bit. I had to futz around with it for a while to get it to behave decently and I still ended up with some ghost images on some of the leaves. I used a tiny, skinny nail art brush dipped in acetone to clean up some of the excess image.
I slicked on a little lightweight clear polish to coat the images and to stick down the stones. I applied little clear stones to the center of each shamrock, then I used green heart shaped stones on the leaves on my accent nails. I tried to place the green stones so that a little gold shows around the edges. I topped everything with Seche Vite. I decided to use Seche because it anchors stones down really well and after all the work I went to, I want this manicure to last through Saint Patrick's Day and I don't want those stones popping off all over the place. :P
I think it came out okay. I still need to work on image placement. That is really uneven and inconsistent but it is getting a little better. Practice, Grasshopper. :D
Pictures shot in direct sun, no flash.
I had some shrinkage messiness at my gaps so I did some additional cleanup, leaving big gaps. :S But at least it is neater. *sigh* Shrinkage. I need to work on getting my topcoat even with my polish, all around to help prevent that.
I also want to take this opportunity to remind all of you that today is the last day to enter my CSN Stores giveaway. Please click here to travel to my giveaway post to enter.
Thank you all so much for popping in. Have a wonderful day and may your polish never bubble.
