On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Hello gentle readers.

It is Wednesday and I am going to be a joiner. And I am wearing pink, today. This is Revlon Cotton Candy. A soft pink jelly-ish polish with a lovely subtle white and gold shimmer. Very delicate, very girlie. A little streaky on the first coat. A bit less after the second. I shoulda, woulda, coulda applied a third coat but I just didn't have a lot of time for nail painting, today. And, since this is a one day mani and the streaky-ness isn't all that obvious to the casual observer, I am not too worried about it. This polish is a little sheer. I definitely have some VNL, which doesn't really bother me all that much. If I know a polish is supposed to be opaque, VNL drives me batshit crazy. If I know my polish is supposed to be a bit sheer, VNL doesn't bother me.

This polish applied okay. Dry time is a tiny bit slow. I topped it with Seche Vite. This is one of the perfumed polishes that came out last Summer. There were a bunch of them at my local CVS and I picked up this one and one other. The scent as this polish dries is slightly chemically and also very sweet and sugary. The scent is soft and subtle but can be perceived through topcoat. I don't mind it. :)

It is a cloudy day, today. No sun so the shimmer isn't showing up much in my photos. You might see it a bit better if you click to enlarge.

Okay, so what think you of polishes that smell like candy as they dry? Like it? Not? Please sound off. :D

I have been tagged to do a blog challenge, I need to do a manicure with nail art with three polishes chosen at random. Should be fun and I am looking forward to the challenge.  I will be having my husband choose the polishes for that challenge from my untried box, tonight. I also received a request to show my OPI DS Sapphire and that will be coming soon, as well. If you have any requests to see a polish that I have, whether I have posted it in a manicure or not, don't hesitate to ask. I'll do my best to show it and I don't mind repeating a polish in the least, provided I still own it. You can drop me a comment in my latest post or shoot me an e-mail. :D

Okay, I have to motor. I'll be back some time later for a new post. One hint... Giveaway.

Thank you so much for popping in. Have a great afternoon and may your polish never bubble.

  2. I love candy scented polishes! I go crazy for my gum drop polish. It smells so good - even through a top coat for a couple of days.
