Took the Grinder Express to Shortie Town and... Oh My Gawsh!!!

Hello gentle readers. How's your day going? Mine is pretty good. Things have finally cooled down a little around here and I had some time to take care of my nails, today. Part of that was, unfortunately grinding them down to shorties. My tips were getting too ragged and they were cracking even through the patches and the already patched cracks were re cracking and I couldn't keep up with the damage, any longer so it was time to take them down and start fresh. While I do miss the length, (that seems to be my favourite length, it works well for me and I like how it looks) it is nice to get rid of all but one active patch and grow them out, again. I just have one patch covering a side tear where my left ring finger meets the quick. *sigh*

Since it is Wednesday and we wear pink on Wednesdays, I decided to wear Color Club Lazr Pink. A brilliant neon pink. This one is an eye popper. I applied three coats and topped it with Seche. And yes, that is a gouged spot at my gap on my ring finger... My cleanup brush got away from me. On the last coat, of course, so I couldn't fix it. And I just didn't have time to re do the entire nail so... Happily, it is far more obvious in the macro photograph than in person. The casual observer wouldn't even see it.

I like this colour. Sadly, that is about all I like about this particular bottle of polish. The formula was gloopy, (could be because it is a little older, a little thinning may help it) but it wanted to flood the shit out of my cuticles. It was streaky as hell. Three coats and a thick coat of Seche Vite were required to get this as smooth as I managed to get it. Blech! I am torn about keeping this one. I love the bright, hot pink and how it actually makes my hands look lightly tanned (instant Summer in a bottle! heh heh) but I don't love the way it behaves. I dunno. Maybe if I give it a good thinning and shake, shake, shake it's disposition would improve. I would really like to rehab this polish, if I can. I would love to wear this this Summer.

Do you own this polish? Love it? Hate how it behaves?

I was delighted when I clicked to open my blog today to see that I am at 400 followers! Oh. My. Gawsh! Squeee! I just want to say, I loves you guyz. And I deeply appreciate the fact that you take time out of your busy day and blog time to spend a little of it here, with me. ***kisses***
