Manicure of the Moment

Hello gentle readers. I am back with today's manicure. :D

This is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Sunflowers. A bright, warm golden sunshine yellow with a silver/white microshimmer that is almost a frost. I bought this polish at Walgreen's from the clearance end rack for a dollar ninety-nine. Honestly, I wasn't all that hopeful about it but this polish surprised me. I was also surprised at how much I like this colour and how well it works with my skin tone.

I applied two coats and topped it with Poshe` topcoat. Just a little while ago I stamped this manicure. I'll show you that in a bit. These photos were taken in cloud filtered sun and are clickable.

The formula of this polish was surprising for a yellow. It is thick but not gloopy and the Sally Hansen brush assures that it lays down and stays where you put it. It is a bit brushstroke-y but that is far more visible in macro photographs than to the naked eye. This polish is a tad sheer. I stopped at two coats and I still have a little VNL in person and in indoor light but it doesn't really bother me. I imagine that with three coats it would be fully opaque. I had some bubbling but I don't think I can blame the polish as I had the same issue when applying my topcoat. I think it is our screwy weather and the wind. I will tell you that my topcoat did smooth most of the bubbles. :) This polish is dries fast. I polish from pinkie to thumb right hand to left. By the time I hit my left thumb, the polish on my right hand was dry.

A little while ago I decided to try out one of my new Bundle Monster plates so I stamped my nails with China Glaze 2030 and BM 211. The gold polish doesn't show up very well against the golden yellow polish. I should have chosen a different colour with which to stamp the images. This mani will only survive until tomorrow so, no biggie. I topped this off with a coat of Seche Vite. Here are a couple of vomitrocious photographs of my stamped manicure. They are clickable, if you think you can stand it.

Okay... So... There it is. Thank you for popping in (again :)). Have a great night and may your polish never bubble.
