Pink Wednesday

Hello gentle readers.

Today is another Pink Wednesday. Is it just me or is time flying by and it seems as if Pink Wednesday was just yesterday?

Today I decided to wear Orly Butterflies for Pink Wednesday. Butterflies is a bright, warm pink jelly that thinks she wants to a coral when she grows up. I applied three coats and topped it with Seche Vite.

Pics are taken outdoors in cloudy daylight. In wind gusts (what the fuck is with this wind, anyway???) thus explaining the vomitrocious focusing of all of my photographs. They are clickable to enlarge, as always.

Sorry about my cuticles, all dry and nasty. I had decided to stamp this manicure and didn't want to deal with oil when it came time to do my nail art.

I used Konad Special White polish and a few different Konad and Fauxnad plates to stamp different butterflies all over my nails. After they were stamped, I let the images dry for a few minutes while I cleaned things up, put everything away. Then I topped my manicure with Seche to seal it and amp up the shine, even more.

Orly Butterflies is a beautiful polish. It is a jelly; translucent, shiny and squishy. It is pretty insanely shiny and squishy on it's own. Use topcoat and it is almost off the charts.  I applied three coats. The first was thin and a bit streaky but each subsequent coat smoothed and evened everything out very nicely. I still have a little VNL which is a bit more visible in indoor light. I don't mind it but if VNL bugs you, underwear would take care of it. The formula of this polish is thick, silky and a pleasure to apply. It lies down and stays put where you place it. I had very little cleanup. Mostly just fussbudget refining. Dry time is pretty good, especially with Seche Vite.

Okay, so there you have it. My Pink Wednesday manicure. Butterflies with butterflies. Thank you all so much for popping in. Have a great Wednesday and may your polish never bubble.
