Manicure of the Moment

Hello gentle readers. Today I have for you a bright, pure white polish. OPI Alpine Snow. Two coats topped with Seche Vite to be smooth and opaque. I don't usually wear solid white nails but I like this look. It is very clean and crisp and makes my hands look tan and Summery. These photographs were taken in sun. The last one in shade. Look how bright and crisp this stuff is. OPI Alpine Snow is astonishingly lovely polish for a white creme. The formula was really smooth, not gloopy, gummy or stringy. It applied easily and didn't try to run or pool. It was a little streaky on the first coat but smoothed out very nicely on the second coat. There is a little streakiness on a few of my nails thanks to my ridges but unless you invade my space, grab my hand and stick my nails right up under your nose you aren't going to see it. And, if you do those things, you will draw back a bloody stump, making my minor polish streaks the least of your worries. *evil grin* T

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink. Well... Sorta

Hello gentle readers. Today is Pink Wednesday and I decided to wear a pink-ish polish. OPI DS Signature. Yes, I know that it isn't technically pink-pink.  More a rosy-mauve. But I think it orbits close enough to the Pink Universe to qualify. And, since my nails are as long as they are going to get, I wanted to rock this polish and really enjoy the rainbow beauty of it before I take my nails down a little. This is two coats with Seche Vite over the top. I have shown and reviewed this polish before so I am not going into detail, again. I am just going to get on with the photographs. These were taken in full sun.   Delicious. I need a backup bottle of this beauty. Seriously. I love to wear it and I don't want to run out of it. :D Thank you for popping in. Have a great Pink Wednesday and may your polish never bubble.

Fourth of July Manicure

Hello gentle readers. I finally got around to doing my Fourth of July Manicure. I was going to do several leading up but I just got one done. I think that will do just fine. :) I had some grand plans in this little brain of mine for nail art depicting fireworks, stars, glittery striping and so forth. Then I did a reality check. I am nail art challenged. I know it. I accept it. I am good with it. I can do something simple and easy and it comes out halfway okay but if I get too ambitious, I usually end up in a big old mess. So I scaled things back. A lot. lol I painted my nails in alternating solid blue and red using Orly La Playa and Color Club Ihavenofrakkingideathename Red. I did two coats of the La Playa and three of the Red. Orly La Playa is so rich, creamy and highly pigmented that I only needed two coats but the red is a crelly and needed three to get it as opaque as the blue. I only own jelly-ish reds. No rich, dense cremes. Hmmm. I suppose I should find a couple. Anywh
