Hello gentle readers. I finally found enough sun to fire my polish a little and was able to fire off a few photographs before the clouds blocked the rays, again.
This is OPI DS Opulence. A soft, mauve rose packed with beautiful, slightly chunky dispersed holo. I know that this isn't technically pink... I seem to be pushing the definition of what pink is, lately. But I feel that it is close enough to qualify. Besides, it's pretty. I applied two coats and topped it with Seche Vite. This polish reminds me of DS Extravagance. It is not a fine, linear holo and the sparkle glows from the depths of this polish, then fires on the surface.
Photos were taken in weak, filtered sun. Sadly, the rays I did catch couldn't fire this beauty completely. But at least I did get some of the sparkle. Sorry that these are a little blurry. The wind was blowing like a mo-fo and I couldn't hold everything perfectly still and my stupid camera doesn't have image stabilization.
OPI DS Opulence is, like the rest of the DS polishes I own just a dreamy pleasure to apply. Smooth, easy. It flows off that fabulous Pro Wide brush and sits right down where it is placed. There is no streaking, no dragging, no nastiness. Just... Lovely. It dries quickly and dries satin. To get the full shine and fire you must apply a top coat. This one is a bit of a top coat muncher... I needed two coats of Seche Vite to get that gorgeous, deep gloss I expect.
This polish is a chameleon. Indoors, it is a demure, ladylike rose creme with a slight shimmer that is visible in direct indoor light. Then step out in the sun and the holo glitter fires and socks you in the eyes.
I wish that OPI would get back to the beautiful linear holos that they did so well earlier in the Designer Series. Maybe re release the beautiful earlier polishes, give those of us who missed out a chance to obtain them and bypass the evil bay scalpers. *dreamer*
Okay, so... Do you own this pretty polish? Love it? Please share.
Thank you so much for popping in and spending a little time with me. Have yourself a terrific evening and may your polish never bubble.
Oh! I am nearing the end of the entry verification process for my giveaway and a winner will be announced soon. Next time I do this, I am definitely going to verify as entries come in because I gotta tell ya... Doing them all at the end? Major pain in the ass. Major. lol
