My Untrieds

Hello gentle readers.

Are you like me? Do you have a rather large number of untried polishes? Do you have the guts to post a photograph? I am going to do it. I am going to show you my untrieds shelf. :D

From the left: Finger Paints (now swatched! yay me!) Sally Hansen, China Glaze, Revlon, one Pure Ice, Color Club, Wet-N-Wild, Sinful Colors, a Milani, behind the Milani is two Confettis, Essie, OPI, Orly, Rimmel and a Zoya. Way in back is a cluster of random one-offs including a Borghese, a Maybelline, a Victoria's Secret... A few others.

I double dog dare you to show us your untried polishes. :D

  4. wow!
I have just finished swatching about 60-70 colors this weekend, and still have uncountables left to swatch!
It is a never ending cycle!!!
I have to swatch a color before thinking about putting it up on my blog sale (THAT is the next project this year, as when am I seriously going to get to enjoy the polish that I have now!)

  5. How do you swatch everything so fast? I spent all weekend doing swatches and I only got about 8 done. It takes me a few hours for each with writing the post included.

  6. I probably have about 20 so far that I need to try out. Gives me something to look forward to.

  7. I just have about 30 untrieds… so not too bad, but still a little overwhelming. Plus I just ordered 10 new polishes from Llarowe…

  8. I tend to use 1 layer of base coat, and as many of the polish as it takes to look good, and then take pictures. I am lucky that I usually have to take less than 5 to get the 3 shots that I use in my collages.
I also do this while catching up on some show in Hulu. Then I collage, and name and upload the pictures on Picasa, and this way they are ready to go when I need to set up my posts. It is a liot of dedication , and I have gotten really fast at them. I have had my blog for 2+ years and needed to figure a way of NOT having to paint my nails every night (even though I still do most nights!)

  12. I don't keep my untrieds separate from my other polishes but I only have 83 untrieds at the moment. I have told myself I won't be buying any more polish until that figure is down to at least half :)

  16. I'm about to sort and do swatches on tips ala K2K over at Polish or Perish. Much more organized than I currently am. As I go through and do that, I'll put the untrieds to one side. I don't keep them separate so I really don't know how many I have. Is that bad, lol?

  17. Ok, so I that seems easier to do all the pics first. Thanks.

Your untrieds are a lot more organized than mine.  I'm jealous.

  19. Oh, I have so many untrieds.... I don't know how many exactly, since I just keep them mixed in with everything else.
