Hello gentle readers.
Today's swatch fun is courtesy of Finger Paints Vintage Velvet. Another of the lovely Fall creme polishes, this one is just like her sister, Cordu-Orange. Rich, shiny and creamy-licious. This one is a dirty teal green; great for Fall. Great for any time of the year! I kind of extremely *heart* it. This swatch is two coats and top coat.
Photographs were taken in my lightbox under my OttLight.
Finger Paints Vintage Velvet has a gorgeous formula. It is thick and smooth and silky. It applies like a dream and I didn't have to fuss with the cleanup brush all that much. Just like I like it. Dry time is a little slowish but not so much that it is a problem. This polish is plagued with the same problem as it's fellow Fall cremes. Separation and grey pigment streaks but they don't seem to hurt the overall colour or performance on the nail. I just shake it well, let it settle a bit to de-bubble then slap it on.
This polish, just like the other Fall Finger Paints polishes is definitely worth owning, if you can still find it.
Do you own this polish? How is it for you? Love it? Not so much?
Thank you so much for popping in. Have a good one, my fellow polish addict and may your polish never bubble.

This is so gorgeous on you Erika! This is one of my favorite teals, ever.
ReplyDeleteI really wish I'd bought this color--I LOVE it! I've had really good luck with this brand, too; i don't recall any problematic bottles. How does this color compare to Essie School of Hard Rocks?
ReplyDeleteI really like this...will have try to find it next week!! Looks really good on you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nicole. <3
ReplyDeleteI like this one a lot, too. It is a beautiful, rich tone that just works. :D
Honestly, I have no idea how this would compare to Essie School of Hard Rocks. I don't own that polish, sorry. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
ReplyDeleteTry the clearance area at Sally's. You might also find it on Evil-Bay or on Amazon. (Don't quote me on those... That sort of thing can be hit or miss. ;))
This is a gorgeous colour!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color! It kind of reminds me of Sally Hansen CSM Fairy Teal.
ReplyDeleteI have this polish. Love it.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I have a few of their polishes and was super impressed with their formulation.
ReplyDeleteI don't have this color but I have a lot of Fingerpaints polishes and they are the same for me as for you. I do love Fingerpaints. With a few of the polishes I end up shaking the bottles trying to get them to mix perfectly. Still, it's one of my favorite brands.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny that you post this! I bought this color not long ago but have not worn it yet, my untried list is ridiculously long.. It looks really great on you! I'm inspired to wear it now!
ReplyDeleteI don't have this, but I'm definitely loving it!! I love teal ;0)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I think so, also. :)
ReplyDeleteI almost bought that Sally Hansen. :D
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty, isn't it? :D
ReplyDeleteThe polishes that they get right are sooo right.
I wonder if our part of the country got polishes that weren't as well blended, or something? Any polish will separate and need a good shake, from time to time but these seem to be ill blended, as well.
ReplyDeleteBut what do I know? lolol
Do wear it. It's so pretty and it is lovely to apply. :D
ReplyDeleteMy untried shelf is groaning under the weight of not tried and worn polishes. It is a shame. Really, it is. lol
I should post a photograph of my untried polishes shelf...
Teal is one of those colours I never thought I would wear on my nails. I like teal for clothes. Now I love it on my nails. :D
ReplyDeletei love it and hope to own it one day!
ReplyDeleteThank you. :D
ReplyDeleteI hope that you find it and that you really enjoy it. :)
This looks beautiful on you...I do have this and love it!
