China Glaze Dance Baby: Swatch and Review

Image
Hello gentle readers. I see that Blogger is futzing around with stuff, again. Are these improvements? Have they fixed the glitch that has kept me from editing my frakking blogroll? I have a pile of blogs bookmarked that I haven't been able to add to my blogroll in an eternity and I am a little tired of it not working. So, Blogger, instead of changing shit, fix the shit that is already here. Okay, now that I have gotten that off my chest... How'z about a quick look at China Glaze Dance Baby. Remember when I said that I had bought enough of the Electropop polishes? I lied. Like a rug. *shrug* I picked up Dance Baby and Sweet Hook. Guess this collection grabbed on to me a little harder than I thought it would. I keep acquiring polishes from it. Dance Baby is a very pretty pink with a slight lilac lean. It reminds me a lot of Essie French Affair. Both polishes are that sweet, ladylike, girlie pink with a hit of lilac. But the formula on China Glaze Dance Baby is far, far supe

China Glaze Reggae to Riches

Hello gentle readers. Happy Monday to you all! No? Shut up? Get Lost? Fuck off? Well, all righty, then. heh heh Guess I was pushing it being so chipper on a Monday morning. I don't know why I am, exactly. I have a migraine and I think that I am coming down with whatever it is that my husband, that incubus of viral plague, has had for the last week. I suspect flu. Every time I would go into Sally's I would consider picking it up, then decide, "Eh... I'll grab it next time I'm in." Then it would be sold out for a bit, then back in and the whole thing would start again. Well, I finally did grab it. Boy am I ever glad I did. China Glaze Reggae to Riches is a beautiful red/violet jelly packed with blue microchimmer. This polish glows, simply glows, as if lit from within by some otherworldly inner fire that shifts up and down the bottle a

Hello gentle readers. The other day, Steph at  Imperfectly Painted  did a  Saturday Bottle Spam  featuring her first polishes when she got into polish in 2008. I thought that was a great idea and decided to steal her idea and modify it a bit. Rather than showing all of my first this brand or that brand all at once, I am going to make this a now and then feature. Today I am going to share my very first ever bottle of China Glaze. I think that like many lacquer enthusiasts, I started with the famous and fabulous Ruby Pumps. I read so much about this polish by so many women who just loved it but it took me a long time to break down and finally buy it and try it. What was I waiting for?!?! China Glaze Ruby Pumps is simply spectacular. I started painting that beauty on and fell deeply, irrevocably in love. I have worn this polish many times since I bought it and it remains one of my all time favourite polishes, ever. I feel a little sentimental about the bottle, too. When the level st
