A Little Orly Cosmic FX Spam

Hello gentle readers.

I was sifting through my polish photos and realized that I have several Orly Cosmic FX polishes stashed on my hard drive that haven't been posted, yet so I thought that I would go ahead and do a post showing them. The Cosmic FX collection was released in Autumn of 2010 and I have slowly, over time acquired five of the six polishes in this collection. I am only lacking It's Not Rocket Science and I am debating whether or not I am going to pick it up. At this point and time, I'm thinking probably not. But I may change my mind. I've been known to do so in the past.

Let's start this swatch fest with Orly Out of This World, a beautiful, rich dark purple jelly packed with a greeny-bronze duochrome shifting microglitter. This swatch is two coats and top coat.

Next is Orly Lunar Eclipse. This is a blue jelly with a blue to fuchsia shifting shimmer. This is seriously pretty. I applied three coats and top coat for this swatch.

And here is Halley's Comet. This is a Zoya Charla/OPI Catch Me In Your Net/Essence Choose Me! and Sinful Colors Kissy dupish polish. This is a rich, deep aquamarine blue with a teal to gold shifting shimmer. This swatch is two coats and top coat.

The formula on these is really nice. Smooth and easy to work with. They are a tad streaky on the first coat then smooth out very nicely and are fully opaque in two or three coats, depending on the polish. They dry in good time and I get decent wear time out of them.

I don't know why this collection grabbed me so hard. I just know that it did and I am delighted to finally have all of the polishes that I was really lusting after. What do you think of this collection? Did you buy any of them? Love them? Please do tell. If you don't have them and you like the look of these beauties and think that you might like to own them, check Amazon, that is where I got mine. Last time I looked the prices were still really good and I could find, with a little digging, all six. You should also be able to find them on E-Bay and maybe from various e-tailers or in a good dusty.

Okay, time for me to run along. I am hoping to grab some time to actually dig in and catch up on my blog reading. I am so far behind. Please don't think that I am a jerk. I really am not. I have been a little busy and have been getting sidetracked and well, you know how it goes, sometimes.

Thank you for popping in and reading. I hope that you have a fantastic weekend and may your polish never bubble.

  1. I do love this collection. I have all 3 of the colors you listed plus Galaxy Girl, which is a dark purplish red with an aqua shimmer. I think they're gorgeous.

I'm such a dumbass! I think it looks a lot better in your pictures though, somehow my jaw was still attached to my mouth when I saw it on my nails! =)
