Happy Thanksgiving! I did Nail Art... Don't Faint

Hello gentle readers. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Americans. This is the day of the year my son lives for. He is a walking stomach; he pretty much lives from one meal to the next and he starts looking forward to the next Thanksgiving about the time I start the dishwasher after the current one is done. I just do the usual, turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, corn, rolls. I'm not much of a cook but if I stick to the formula, I can knock together a halfway decent Thanksgiving feast. So, in celebration of this, the most festive feast day of the year, I decided to do a little nail art. Oh, hush up. I do this from time to time. I started with two coats of China Glaze Call of the Wild and topped it off with Seche Vite. This polish seriously looks like hot, melted dark chocolate all over your nails. It is scrumptious. I let it dry for a while. Wanna see? Was I lying? Now, I know what you are thinking. Wait a minute, she

Miss Sation Swatches and Review ~ Edited Because I Am a Bonehead

Hello gentle readers. I am a bonehead. I won't go into it all fully but suffice it to say, I mucked up. I thought I was doing right, did wrong and mis identified a polish and left out one that should have been included and well... Yeah. Idiot. So, I am fixing this post to reflect the changes necessary. My deepest apologies to Miss Sation for the foul up. And to my gentle readers for the bad information. Bad! Bad blogger! I want to go hide in a hole in the ground. But I'll stay above the surface and take my lumps. Today I have four of the Miss Sation holiday Golightly Collection for Holiday 2012 and a couple of other lacquers to share with you. . First up is I Love Yule. This is a slightly dusty highly pigmented poinsettia red jelly creme. Very Christmas but would work anytime, anywhere as it is a great all around red. This swatch is three coats. If I didn't have these demon ridges on my ring and pinkie nails, I could probably have been good in two. But this p

OPI You Don't Know Jacques: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers. If you have been into polish for any amount of time you are already very well acquainted with this now classic, dare I say, iconic OPI polish. I just recently purchased this polish. Why did I wait? I don't know. OPI You Don't Know Jacques is a beautiful rich, warm taupe crelly. I applied three coats because this one had some difficulty coping with my demon ridges. Three coats also builds this polish to it's full opacity and develops the colour. As you all already know, the formula on this is just as fantastic as can be. A little sheer and brown on the first coat, but by the time you get all coats on, it is perfect taupe. I topped this swatch with Seche Vite. Sweet. What do you think of OPI You Don't Know Jacques? Own it? If you like it but don't have it yet, it's core line, (if I'm not mistaken) easy to find and at home in just about anyone's polish collection. Thank you for popping in and reading. Have a great day
