China Glaze Winter Holly: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Today's Holiday Joy polish is Winter Holly, a dark hunter green fine glitter sparked with gold holo glitter pieces throughout. This isn't your typical bright, happy Christmas green. This is darker, edgier, slightly blackened... Glamorous. The gold holo sparks lights it up and makes it perfect for holiday and all Winter long.

This swatch is three coats of Winter Holly topped with two coats of Gelous and two coats of Seche Vite.

Winter Holly is a fine glitter and is very easy to apply and control. The viscosity is slightly thick but not gloopy or stiff. I didn't need to do much cleanup and dry time per coat is fast. Winter Holly dries very gritty. This polish is insanely thirsty for this swatch I applied two coats of Gelous and two coats of Seche Vite and it slurped them up and would have accepted more. Be prepared to slather on the top coat with this polish. Then be prepared to enjoy the gorgeous when it is all on.

While I was swatching Winter Holly, a question floated in one ear, across the surface of my brain and out the other. That question being, "I wonder if this is anything like last year's so gloriously gorgeous Glitter Garland from the Let it Snow Collection.

It isn't. Winter Holly is all glitter, Glittering Garland is a jelly packed with gold glass fleck shimmer of awesomeness. Both beautiful holiday greens. Not at all alike.

So, what do you think of China Glaze Winter Holly? Did you buy it, yet? Are you going to? I hope so 'cause I have to tell you, it is stunning. Trust me. As pretty as it looks in these photos my crappy old camera doesn't begin to do it justice. China Glaze Winter Holly and the rest of the Holiday Joy Collection is available where you buy China Glaze.

Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a fantabulous day and may your polish never bubble.
