China Glaze Running in Circles: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Here is China Glaze Running in Circles. This is one of the Cirque Du Soleil Collection polishes. Is it my imagination or did the Circue collection kind of appear and disappear as fast? There wasn't a whole lot of excitement over it and that is too bad because there really were some beautiful offerings in that collection. This polish is, in my opinion, one of them. Running in Circles is a very in this year emerald green jelly packed with green and gold glass fleck shimmer.

This swatch is two coats topped with Gelous.

The formula on this is pretty much terrific. It was easy to apply and control, there was no running, pooling, dragging, pulling bald spots or streaky business. Dry time is pretty good.

My one complaint was the brush. It had errant hairs and needed to spend a little time with my scissors. I was not amused.

Am I the only one who thinks that Winter was the wrong time of year for this collection? I know that it had to be released as a movie tie in but, like the Hunger Games (Colours From the Capital) collection, it released in the wrong season for the colour range. Call me crazy, but a beautiful, juicy emerald green like this says Summer to me, not Winter.

I know... I have always said that I don't care what the season is, I wear what I am in the mood for. But, a large majority of the polish buying public likes to buy colours that suit the season and do wear colours that "go" with the time of year.

Did you pick up this pretty green shimmer? If you would like to have it, it should be available here and there. I know that Sally's has clearanced this collection, but you should be able to find it in random beauty supplies, on E-Bay and Amazon.

Say, have you entered my giveaway for a new Power IQ flat iron, yet? If not please click here and enter. It's super easy with the Rafflecopter widget, just takes a minute or two. The giveaway is open internationally, to anyone to whom I can legally send a package. So, if you are wanting a flat iron, please go and enter.

Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.

  1. I agree that winter was the wrong time for this collection. I love it though! I went to Vegas last month and wore Running in Circles with Water You Waiting for sponged on. Love this color!

  3. I hadn't really noticed that the collection didn't fit with winter, but you are definitely right. Running In Circles was the winner from this collection in my opinion, it looks gorgeous on you!

  8. This is definitely one of my faves from this collection. I love that it doesn't give me lobster claws, as some greens can. Thank you so much! :D

  11. My brush was the same way when I bought this color. I emailed China Glaze about it and they sent a replacement brush. It might've been easier to trim the stray bristles, but I shouldn't have to deal with a problem like that when I've paid for a polish.

  12. I agree. Brushes should be perfect and I am never happy when I get a wonky one. Next time, I am going to e-mail them. That's a great idea.

  13. Definitely came and went with barely a whisper... They're already on clearance at my local Sally's, and I had barely seen them in their display a few weeks prior (my Sally's is waaaay behind, they just got in the chunky glitters). I did snag Running In Circles, but haven't cracked it open yet - hope I don't have Errant Bristle syndrome with it, too! I bought it because it's the 'in' hue for Pantone, and surprisingly, I had no emeralds in my collection!

  14. My Sally's is hardcore about release dates. They won't put anything out before the release date. I know that other Sally's do but mine won't. It would be nice if they would bend a little. LOL

The errant brush problem has gotten worse in the last year. I can understand one, on occasion but I am finding a couple, per collection, lately.
