Hello gentle readers.
My little break was refreshing and just what I needed. I want to thank you for your kind words, your support and concern. It means the world to me. I didn't mean to be cryptic in my last post, I am just still having trouble talking about this. If you would like to know, here is the link to the post in my other blog.. Just letting you know, the language is raw and my prose is emotional and very disjointed.
Okay. Moving on. :)
Today I have a very pretty polish from Shimmer Polish. I recently won this polish in a Facebook giveaway she held. Eeep! I really like this and I am tickled about the name, even if she did spell it wrong. ;)
Shimmer Polish Erica is a beautiful blend of tiny and very small square and small and medium hex glitter pieces in green, gold, blue, pink, and holo that flashes different colours, depending on how the light hits it.
This swatch is three coats and two coats of Gelous.
The formula on this is, like most Shimmer Polish glitters, very good. These polishes are thick enough to be a good base for glitter but also beautifully fluid and easy to work with. I don't have to thin Shimmer Polish glitters too often as I find them easy to manage. Shimmer Polish Erica was very easy to apply and control. It smoothed on and didn't require much patting or manipulating to get it to do what I wanted. Dry time is good, it dries satin matte, top coat assures that you get maximum sparkle and shine.
Before I did this swatch, I used this polish in a full manicure. I applied Color Club New Bohemian then did random accent nails in Shimmer polish Erica and topped it all off with Gelous and Seche Vite. I wore the heck out of this mani, I liked it so much that I didn't want to take it off and left it on until it started to chip.
I really like like Shimmer Polish. It is a beautifully crafted brand of hand made glitter polish.
What do you think of Shimmer Polish Erica? I have to say, I dig it. As pretty as it is in photos, it is even better in person. (My camera... SMH) If you are interested in purchasing, you can find Shimmer Polish in their Etsy store.
I also received some additional polishes for review and they will be up, soon. I am in the throes of editing photos, now.
Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.
