Today I have four beautiful Shimmer Polish glitters to share with you.
My apologies for the lack of multicoloured sparks. My camera... Grrr!
First up, Irene. This fine glitter mix is a silver-gilt treat sparked with hololiscious multicoloured sparks. This swatch is three coats and Gelous and Seche Vite. So beautiful. Nothing like nails that look as if they are paved in diamond dust, hmmm?
Here is Elsa. This is a chunky layering glitter. This slightly pink tinted base suspends a raspberry glitter mix comprised of gold micro glitter, Tiny blue squares, tiny red rounds and small gold hex pieces. This is swatched over my glitter undies and is topped with Gelous and Seche Vite.
Say hello to Sarah. A blue tinted base is alive with a mix of tiny blue and green glitter and small hex bits in blue, green and purple. This one makes me ridiculously happy. This has such a dense glitter mix that this could get opaque easily. I would guess in two generous coats. This is swatched over my glitter undies and topped with Gelous and Seche Vite.
And here we have Allessandra. This slightly tinted base is swimming with tiny gold micro glitter, small square and hex and medium hex in shades of red, pink, blue, green, even orange. Very colourful, happy and warm. And how pretty is that name? Allessandra. It just kind of rolls off of the tongue, don't you think? This beauty is also swatched over my glitter undies and topped with Gelous and Seche Vite. Why do I think of Pop Rocks when I look at this polish? Mmmm... Pop Rocks...
These polishes have the Shimmer Polish glitter formula with which I get along so very well. It is thick enough to suspend all of that delicious sparkle yet it is fluid enough that it doesn't give me fits and send me reaching for my thinner bottle. (Not that I mind thinning polishes, it doesn't really bother me.) Dry time on these polishes is good, they dry satin matte and feel amazingly smooth for glitters with so much texture and flash. They are a tad thirsty. For the best gloss, sparkle and shine and long wear, I top them with a coat or two of Gelous then I pile on the Seche Vite. I like my glitters (well all of my polishes, really) to look very smooth and glassy. I get good wear time from Shimmer Polish glitters. Four or five days before having to cope with chips. Not too shabby, at all.
So, what do you think of these beautiful glitter polishes? If you think that you might like to purchase some for yourself, you can find Shimmer Polish on their Etsy Store. Like Shimmer on Facebook, too.
Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.
