Flower Polish Eye of the Tiger Lily: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

A while back, I had to go into WalMart to pick up a couple of things and while I was in there, I decided to drift through the beauty department. To my great surprise, there was actually a Flower cosmetics display that included a small but well stocked selection of pretty, wearable polishes. My eye was drawn to a bright orange polish and it just leaped into my basket. It must have known that it was a cold, cloudy day and I needed to treat myself to a little something bright and warm.

Flower polish Eye of the Tiger Lily is a beautiful, bright. yellow based orange jelly. It is very shiny and squishy but it is also translucent. I applied three thick coats and as you can see, there is still some VNL. While that doesn't really bug me with jellies, if VNL makes you very unhappy, you would need four coats or maybe some underwear.

This swatch is three coats and no top coat. That's right. No top coat! And look how shiny!

The formula on this polish is pretty lovely. It has great body and it is fluid and smooth. It sits down where it is placed and strokes up the nail like silk. There was no running, pooling at my cuticles, dragging, streaking or bubbling. Dry time wasn't super fast. I think that a good quick dry top coat would be a help.

Flower polish comes in a neat, clean lined rectangular bottle with a large, rectangular lid. The lid pulls off, revealing a smaller cap that is easier and more comfortable to hang on to while you are polishing. The bottles contain 0.4 fl oz or 12 Ml and sells for five dollars. (Unless an exact price is needed for some reason, I round up.)

I like this polish. It is good quality, the packaging is pretty nice, the price is affordable and the shade selection, while not anything unique or very large is made up of pretty, wearable colours that will appeal to a wide audience. I would definitely buy other colours from this brand in the future.

So, what do you think of Flower Eye of the Tiger Lily? Have you bought it or any other colours from the Flower range? Do you like them? Please do tell, I'd like to hear what you think.

Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a terrific day and may your polish never bubble.
