China Glaze Mani's Before Mimosa's: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

How about we take a gander at another China Glaze Avant Garden polish for Spring 2013? Observe Mani's Before Mimosa's. Don't shoot the messenger... That is their spelling, not mine. I am no English major but even I know better than to flagrantly abuse apostrophes in this manner.

China Glaze Mani's Before Mimosa's (it is killing me to type that but hey... A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do) is a warm peachy orange creme with a beautiful gold shimmer. I am surprised at how much I liked this polish once it was on my nails, as I wasn't wild about it in the bottle. Part of it is that many of these type of polishes aren't very flattering on me but this one, maybe because of the gold from the shimmer? looked just fine on me.

This swatch is three coats and good old Seche Vite.

It was hard to catch the shimmer in my photographs... My camera just doesn't have the resolution to pull it off. But it is there, trust me.

The formula on this one isn't too bad... It was a tad thin and a bit streaky but it leveled out and was opaque in three coats. Application, otherwise was easy, there was no dragging, bubbling, running or pooling at my cuticles or the edges of my nails. Dry time is a little pokey, Seche Vite is helpful to speed things along a little.

Overall, I like this polish. It isn't the most flawless formula I have encountered but it isn't bad. And the colour is so pretty, it's worth a teeny bit of effort.

Have you picked up China Glaze Mani's Before Mimosa's (yeesh!) yet? I think that this would be a pretty colour for Summer, wouldn't you say?

Thank you for popping in and reading. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.
