Hello gentle readers.
A bit and a while ago, I had a hankering for a very low key, elegant, grown up nail look with a hint of sparkle. Hmm... What to do? I started stash diving, and when I hit my OPI drawer, I struck gold. Two beauties. OPI My Very First Knockwurst is a beautiful nude pink that is wear anywhere appropriate and OPI Teenage Dream is a stunning fine holo square and round glitter in a subtly pink jelly base. Layered together they create a look that is simply divine. I like to call it grown up girly. This isn't your daughter's glitter, gentle readers. This is for adults. :)
I did this mani with China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat, two coats of OPI My Very First Knockwurst and one coat of OPI Teenage Dream, topped with Gelous and then Seche Vite.
This look lasted me five days with little wear, and was actually surprisingly easy to remove. I didn't have to do a foil soak to remove it. Pressing a cotton round with acetone to each nail for about thirty seconds loosened everything up very nicely and allowed for fairly easy removal.
I know that these polishes were both limited edition, I think that My very First Knockwurst is still available. Teenage Dream is a bit hard to find, but there are other pretty, delicate glitters out there that would do very nicely and give a similar effect.
Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a lovely day and may your polish never bubble.
