Hello gentle readers.
Today I am sharing I Love Nail Polish Don't Trample My Roses. This is a glitter topper in a clear base, unlike the first I Love Nail Polish I tried, Strawberry Creme. Don't Trample My Roses is a mix of multi sizes and shapes of glitters in rose, pink, purple and green with large rose pink hex sequin accent pieces. This kind of glitter is right in my wheelhouse. It is girlie and feminine and kind of sweet. I applied one coat over two coats of OPI Flower to Flower and topped everything with a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite.
The base of this glitter is super thick. I had to thin it a lot and it was still very thick. Only applying one coat made application, overall much easier than trying to get three flawless coats of thick polish on my nails. I also suspect that some difficulty lies in working with a mini. I imagine that a full sized bottle and brush would ease the process a good bit. The glitter pieces distributed quite easily, I didn't have to do a whole lot of the patting and placing thing to get them all where I wanted them on my nails. I did need to fish out some of the largest accent sequins and place them and fill a couple of bald-ish spots but for a chunky topper glitter, especially with such a thick base, this one was pretty pleasant to work with.
Dry time is decent. Not fast as a flash, a quick dry top coat is welcome. This glitter dries surprisingly smooth and it's easy to get it glossy and shiny and perfect. This polish wears well. I had this mani on for four full days and had little tip wear. Colour me impressed.
I like I Love Nail Polish Don't Trample My Roses. I have enough in my mini bottle for another mani or two and accent nails, besides. I may just have to get this one in a full size!
What do you think of I Love Nail Polish Don't Trample My Roses? Do you own it or other glitters from this brand? What has been your experience with the base? Do you find it in need of thinning, as I do or can you deal with it as is comes to you? I'd really like to hear your thoughts and input. Also, have you tried I Love Nail Polish's holos? Are they great?
Thank you so much for coming by and reading. Stay cool and have a great day!
