Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla Macadamia Kiss

Hello gentle readers'

Let us talk about lip balm, today. I love lip balm. I use insane amounts of lip balm. My lips will dry up and fall off of my face in about five minutes flat if they aren't kept constantly coated in rich, emollient goodness. My lips are very picky, many products that claim to be moisturizing are, in their not so humble opinion no bueno.

One product that claims to be moisturizing that my lips just love is Nivea Lip Butter. These little tins of lip love are available at drugstores and wherever you can find Nivea products. They contain 16.7g or 0.59 OZ of product and retail for around four dollars, depending on your geographic area and the store from which you purchase it.

Nivea Lip Butters come in a handful of flavors, I have tried three. The Raspberry and Rosepetal Kiss smelled gorgeous but it dried my lips out terribly. I passed it along to my husband. Caramel Kiss was nice, it was a generic, sharp, sweet flavor, it wasn't very caramel to me. But it was nice and moisturizing. My favorite and the flavor I buy over and over is the Vanilla and Macadamia Kiss. Warm, sweet vanilla rounded out with creamy macadamia. yum. I love the scent and the taste of this lip balm.

Ingredients list.

Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla and Macadamia Kiss is very moisturizing and soothing. It leaves a bit of a whitish cast on my lips for a while until it really melts in but it is long lasting, for a lip balm. I can apply this right before I got to sleep at night and there is still some on my lips when I wake up in the morning, I apply it regularly throughout the day, when I am not wearing lipstick or lipgloss. I like to keep tins of this stuff all over the place: I have one on my dressing table, one on my nightstand and one on my little table here in the living room where my laptop hangs out so that I always have one at my fingertips.

Have you tried Nivea Lip Butters? Do you like them as much as I do? What is your favorite flavor?

Thank you for swinging by and reading and have a great day.

  1. I've been intrigued to try this lip butter out but I'm not a huge fan of having to stick my finger in the tin to get the product out. Maybe I'll try just one out to see if I like it though.

  3. Aren't they scrumptious? I like the flavor and scent of the raspberry/rose one but it dried my lips out. I was so bummed.

  4. I don't normally like sticking my finger into lip products, either but these make it worth it. I don't carry them out and about with me, I don't want to have to look for some way to clean my finger before/after use but it isn't a problem when I am at home. :)

  6. I can't tell you why I have never tried a Nivea product. You have convinced me that this would be the perfect introductory piece.
