Future Derm C E Caffeic Serum Review

Hello gentle readers.

I was recently given the opportunity to try and review a skin care product from an emerging line. Future Derm C E Caffeic Serum is a new serum containing a unique blend of 16% Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Caffeic Acid, an antioxidant that with consistent use, over time can tighten and brighten skin tone and alleviate the appearance of dark spots. In addition, independent studies have shown that use of skin care products that contain Vitamins S and E can enhance UVA/UVB protection.

Future Derm C E Caffeic Serum is packaged in a 1 fl. oz, 30 ml. amber glass bottle with a dropper. This serum is $89.00.

The ingredients list isn't super long. This serum is made up of the active ingredients and some silicons that act as slip agents. This serum is clinically tested, suitable for all skin types and is not tested on animals.

Future Derm C E Caffeic Serum needs to be shaken very well before use. This treatment serum is very different from other serums I have had experience with. The viscosity is fluid but thick, it is slightly milky and has a light, sweet orange scent that dissipates as it is massaged into the skin. The scent doesn't linger so if you are sensitive, don't let that put you off.

I use the Future Derm C E Caffeic Serum in the evening. The directions that came with it say to use it in the morning, apply a sunscreen over it and wear it all day. Well, I am a rebel. I prefer to use it at night. I cleanse my skin, dispense a dime or so sized amount from the dropper into the palm of my hand, then I use a finger to dot it onto my face and throat then massage it into my skin. The directions say to keep it out the the eye area. Again, I am kind of a rebel, I tried it in my eye area and as long as I keep it out of my eyes and off the mucous membranes, I can use this pretty close up under my eyes and up to the outer corners to help combat those fine lines and crows feet without any irritation to my sensitive eyes.

This serum feels slippy yet slightly... Sticky as it is being smoothed across the skin. It doesn't pull or drag on the skin, it just feels very different from other serums I have used. It needs a little extra massaging to work it thoroughly into the skin and it likes to sit a few minutes to fully sink in. As the serum is being massaged into the skin, there is a gentle warming sensation and my skin goes a little pink. I think it is from the Vitamin C getting busy and doing it's thing. The warm sensation doesn't last long, it is not uncomfortable and my skin calms very quickly. After I have let it sink in for a few, I apply my eye cream and my night cream and I am good for the night.

Results: What do I see from using the Future Derm C E Caffeic Serum? Well, right off, immediate increased hydration. I have extremely dry skin. We are talking the Kalahari Desert between rainy seasons dry skin. This serum works with my night cream to deeply hydrate my skin and leave it feeling wonderfully plumped up and smooth when I wake up in the morning. The effect lasts through the day and call me crazy but I do believe that with consistent use, I am seeing a bit of improvement in the appearance of my fine lines and some of the deeper lines on my face, particularly those little creases at my eyebrows. When I have this serum on, I can feel the tightening effect, especially along the tops of my cheekbones and the outer corners of my eyes and the outer corners of my mouth and on my cheeks. My skin looks brighter, a bit fresher and the tone looks a bit more refined and smoother. I don't see any real lightening of pigmentation or spots, yet. I would say that these are very good results for just about a month of use of this product.

I like Future Derm C E Caffeic Serum. It is a beautiful, efficacious product that, with consistent use over time delivers on it's claims. Yes, it is spendy. For me, $89.00  is an investment and when it is time for me to purchase another bottle, I am going to be scrambling but in my opinion, this serum is worth it's asking price. I recommend it.

  1. I'm attracted to any product that promises to tackle sagging skin. LOL. What does that say about me? Wait. Don't answer. ;)

  3. I didn't bother with serums when I was younger. I didn't need them and they weren't in my budget. Now that I am approaching decrepitude, I find them a welcome addition to my skin care routine and they do deliver real results. They don't make a person look eighteen, again but they work. :) My skin care routine is pretty simple, too. I don't think that a good routine necessarily has to be complicated too be effective. Unless that is what you're in to. :D

  4. I don't know if this really tackles sagging skin... My little saggy areas are still there but they do look a bit firmed up and my skin tone is improved, overall. Sadly, I think that they only thing that REALLY tackles sagging effectively is a really good surgeon with a scalpel and that is simply not in my budget at this time. Nor do I think I am quite to that point. I'm not ruling it out for later on, tho. ;)
