Liquid Lacquer Blue Pistachio: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Sometimes a glitter polish comes along that just makes me smile like a fool. Liquid Lacquer Blue Pistachio is one of those glitter polishes. This toothsome, sweet, neon pistachio green crelly base is shot through with a super fine silver shimmer and swimming with small and larger hex glitter pieces in bright and deeper blue. So fun. So happy. So sweet. So delicious.

This swatch is two coats of Liquid Lacquer Blue Pistachio, one coat of Gelous and one coat of Seche Vite.

The formula on Liquid Lacquer Blue Pistachio is pretty terrific. It is easy and smooth to apply, the base isn't too thick or difficult to deal with, it flows nicely up the nails without dragging, running, pooling or flooding my cuticles. It is a tad streaky on the first coat but evens out to be opaque and smooth by the second coat. The glitter distributes very easily, if you are experienced with glitter, this baby won't give you any trouble, at all. I didn't have to pat or place much, it pretty much fell into place. I did fish a few of the larger pieces to fill in, in a few sparse spots but it wasn't at all difficult to work with. Dry time is decent. Better, with Seche Vite.

I won this beauty from Tracey, the owner of The Sparkling Hoard, when she had a giveaway, a while back. If you don't know Tracey and her blog, please click the link and mosey over and say hi and get to know her.
