Please Bear With Me

Hello gentle readers.

I need to put my blog on a bit of a hiatus. My beautiful mother passed away this morning and I need some time to process and to take care of things and myself.

I will be back soon. Take care of yourselves, be kind to yourselves and one another.

OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay, Swatch and Review Plus... Bonus Sparkle!

Hello gentle readers.

I'll bet you thought that I was done with the OPI San Francisco Collection polishes, didn't you? Ha! That's what you get for thinking.

OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay is a stunning deep royal blue creme polish. Smooth, silky and so shiny, this is a wonderful addition to any polish collection. If you like blue polish, if you like a creme finish, you need OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay.

This swatch is two coats and is topped with Seche Vite.

I love this so much. The formula on this polish is as gorgeous as it is to look at. Smooth, easy to apply and control; there was no running, pooling on the edges of my nails, no flooding my cuticles, no stupid bubbles or streaking or dragging. Dry time is pretty decent. I have no complaints.

After I finished having fun with Keeping Suzi at Bay as it was, I decided to dive into my OPI stash and hauled out Simmer and Shimmer from the Burlesque Collection and I did a soft gradient then topped that with Gelous and more Seche Vite. It's kinda Rawr.

I love the glitters from the Burlesque Collection and I am so happy that I picked up a few, when they were available. I had to thin this polish before I used it. I have noticed that as these sit, they are really thickening up. No worries. That is what lacquer thinner is for.

What do you think of OPI Keeping Suzi at Bay? Do you own this gorgeous creamy dream? Are you thinking that you might like to have it? I think I saw it on the Ulta website and you should be able to find it where you buy OPI in your area. I'm sorry to torment you with Simmer and Shimmer. But there are a lot of beautiful fine, mixed colour glitters out there that will give you a very similar look.

Thank you so very much for popping in and reading and don't be a stranger. Come back, soon.

Liquid Lacquer Bubble Up

Hello gentle readers.

Yep.

More glitter.

Pink.

Glitter.

Heh. Heh.

Liquid Lacquer Bubble Up is a delightful confection blending a sheer pink base, with tiny pink hex, tiny blue square holo, small pink hex, medium pink hex, small and medium iridescent hex that shifts and huge round pink sequins. Oh, gentle reader, if you are into pink, fun, bubbly, give you a toothache sweet glitters, you have to get your tail over to Liquid Lacquer's site and find and buy this glitter because... Yeah.

This is one generous coat applied as you would a glitter of this ilk over OPI Chic From Ears to Tail and topped with Gelous and Seche Vite. Handling of this baby wasn't too difficult, it applied pretty nicely, there was some patting and coaxing, not too much, I did have to fish the big pieces, as expected. I don't mind.

So what say you? Isn't this pretty? I think it is. I hope that you aren't growing weary of glitter, the holidays are approaching, glitters are in abundant supply, this time of year. And, I can't seem to lay off of them so... Buckle up.

Thank you so much for stopping in and reading and have a great day!

Fire and Sparkle

Hello gentle readers.

Just a quickie.

Fire and sparkle were on my nails, recently. China Glaze Roguish Red and Orly The Right Amount of Evil topped with Gelous and Seche Vite on random accent nails. I really enjoyed wearing this manicure. It was so bright and warm and insanely sparkly. It reminded me of the trees as they change to their full Autumn glory, which is happening, around here, right now. One nice thing about living at a little lower latitude; when everyone else's trees are done, ours are just getting into full swing. It is looking pretty good around here, right now.

Tired of my orange and glitter thing, yet? I promise, there is more and different coming up.

Okay. Must run. Thank you so much for swinging by and reading. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Kisses!
