OPI Love, Angel, Music, Baby: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Yellow gold. So glamorous. Luxe, rich and warm and I am so happy to see it finally, after so many years coming back into style, again. OPI Love, Angel, Music, Baby from the Gwen Stefani Collection is the epitome of glamour for the new year. Evoking an earlier age, yet utterly modern. This isn't your mother's gold nail polish.

OPI Love, Angel, Music, Baby is a satin matte yet when the light hits it just right, it throws off soft sparks. There is no glitter, no chunkiness, the finish is smooth. It almost feels like fabric.

This swatch is two coats applied over base coat. No top coat was applied. This polish is designed to be worn without top coat.

The formula on this polish is just about as nice as one could want it to be. Smooth and easy to apply. I had no trouble with this polish, there was no dragging, running, pooling, or streaks. Dry time was pretty fast.

What do you think of OPI Love, Angel, Music, Baby? Did you pick it up? Are you planning to? If you think that you would like to, you can find it where you buy OPI, including Ulta, JC Penny Salons, Sally Beauty Supply online and various authorized beauty supplies and salons that carry OPI in your local area.

  1. The texture looks fabulous and I really like the colour - not an in-you-face gold. I'm waiting for the Gwen Stefani collection to launch here (we're so behind, the Euro Centrale and Mariah Carey collections only turned up over Christmas) and will definitely pick up a few!

  6. The texture is lovely, it's satin and smooth, not rough. The gold is a little deeper than my photos, these came out a little lighter... I don't know what happened with my lighting, :P But the gold is not harsh or brassy, it is beautiful and rich.

I think that when this collection reaches you you will love it. The colours aren't unusual but they are fantastic and the finishes are beautiful. It's worth having. :)

  9. This is beautiful, love your swatches! I am happy to see gold making a comeback, too. I'm still a silver or rose gold gal first, but gold does look good on me, I like it! LOL

  15. Yes, I picked it up a few weeks ago, when Liz was down for the weekend. LOVE IT. This is such a versatile polish, and when worn alone, it's practically a neutral. ADORE.

  19. Good lordy, I have resisted getting this even though I've seen it around a lot. Kept telling myself that I have enough gold toned polishes. But I'm now realizing what I have are either glitters or foils. I don't have anything gold in this texture! It looks so fantastic on your nails. Guess it's off to Ulta's tomorrow to see if they still have it.

  20. They should still have it. If not, try Sally's, Sally's online. JC Penny Salons, too. :)

  23. Sometimes a polish that falls in a category that you don't really like can steal your heart. :D

  25. Thank you so much! I have always remained a faithful yellow gold girl. Even through the long, long years of silver and white gold mania. LOL I also love rose gold. In fact, I am becoming rather fond of it. :D

  26. It is smooth, rather like fabric. :)

  27. Am curious... - I have seen Deborah Lippmann Believe and wondered how l.a.m.b compared to it. Both seem to be a lightly textured goldish champagne-colored polish along the same lines, but haven't seen any comparisons on them. (Which I suppose should answer my question? LOL.) Do you have the DL Believe?

  28. No, I'm so sorry, I don't. I wish I did.
