OPI Over and Over A-Gwen: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

My final offering from the OPI Gwen Stefani Collection for Winter 2014 is Over and Over A-Gwen. A gorgeous, perfectly balanced red crelly that would suit just about any skin tone and delight just about any red polish lover. Also to delight, is a small sheet of Swarovski Elements crystals, studs, bars and diamonds to decorate your nails and amp up your nail designs. The Swarovski Elements are good quality and can be used again and again, if you show them a little care.

This swatch is two coats and Seche Vite and a simple design created with Swarovski Elements. I guess it's no surprise that this is my favorite polish of this collection. I am so predictable. I can't lay off a great red polish. And this is a great red polish.

Let's run it down:

Formula: Flawless. Application: Easy and pleasant. Finish: Impeccable. This polish didn't give me a bit of trouble. No running, pooling, streaking, dragging, grabbing or bubbling. Dry time is good. This polish is fantastic. The presentation box is something special and the Swarovski Elements make it even better. Whether you choose to wear this or just tuck it away as a collector item, I suggest that you pick it up and add it to your polish hoard stash. Clearly, I am wearing mine.

Did you pick up OPI Over and Over A-Gwen? Do you love it? And the Swarovski Elements that come with it? If you would like to have this polish, I saw it at my local Sally Beauty Supply, today and they carry it online, too. You should also be able to find it at Ulta and Ulta online, at JC Penny salons, and at various beauty supplies and salons that carry OPI. It is out there, and not too hard to find, yet.

Look out, I hope that you aren't growing tired of OPI from me, for we shall be taking a little jaunt to Brazil, soon. Yepper, I have purchased the colours from that collection that I wanted. And China Glaze Sea Goddess has come home with me. They are freaking pretty in the bottles, can't wait 'till they hit my nails, kids. Let's see, what else? Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette... What??? I had a coupon for 20% off from Ulta! What was I supposed to do? Let it go to waste? I think not! I have some lippies in the pipeline, the Lorac Unzipped palette. And some other pretty stuff. I am also going to torture you with some Christmas/Holiday polishes. Sorry, loves. It has to be done. I didn't have the chance to show them at the appropriate time, so, I am doing it when I can.

Anywhoozle... I hope that this will all be okay with all of you. Thank you all so much for popping in and reading, for supporting me with your comments and input and I hope that you have a great day and a wonderful week.

  9. I let my top coat set up just a minute or so, touch a small dotting tool to my tongue, pick up the stud, set it down where I want it to live then press it into the top coat a bit, to create a bit of a dimple. Then repeat. If the stud falls off, just use a tiny brush and a little top coat as glue and set it back in place then use a top coat to set. I didn't use top coat for these shots, as they were just swatches, were I going to wear them for a few days, I would have set them with top coat.

  12. I've been on the fence about this red. Actually had it in my hands last week, but set it back down (well, I already had four polishes in hand...). It is so lovely, though, I will probably go back and get it. (Good to hear the formula is wonderful!) Your design with the elements is very nice - they're there and pretty, but let the polish take center stage.

  13. Oh, and a big Thank You for your wonderful swatches and reviews on the other polishes in this collection. Especially your review/swatch of Love.Angel.Music.Baby. I did buy it and have it on now. I absolutely Love it! A champagne gold that is a neutral! I did use Seche Vite just because I love the glassy topcoat feel. It just adds gleam to the polish. Gorgeous!
