I Love Nail Polish Music Box is a gentle, slightly greyed teal blue creme base with a beautiful linear holo rainbow sparkle. The holo in this polish is not super strong but it is no less beautiful and magical. I am convinced that holo is mainly a personal magic and light show! It is best appreciated in the right lighting, up close by those of us who are in to this kind of thing. Everyone else can admire our pretty nails in whatever capacity they are able. That is what is so great about I Love Nail Polish polishes, when the holo goes on the down low, the polish still looks fabulous. I received several lovely compliments on this polish and all of them were in indoor lighting when the holo wasn't doing it's thing.
This manicure was two coats and I topped it with Posche fast dry top coat.
I Love Nail Polish in Music Box has a beautiful formula. Smooth, creamy-dreamy. A delight to apply, this polish flows off the brush, sits sweetly down where I place it and glides up the nail without running, pooling, flooding my cuticles or bubbling. There was no streaking, dragging or pulling bald spots when I needed to go back over for a quick swipe or two. Boy, has holo come a long way! This holo can be top coated without worrying about losing the rainbow deliciousness. When the top coat is first applied, the holo shatters then as the top coat dries, the rainbows re form and all is happiness and sparkle plenty, once again.
Now I do have to impose a tiny little cloud in this sunny day of polish gushery. Wear time. This polish ain't got it. I applied this beauty and it was falling apart on me and had to be removed two days later. Now, short wear time is not a big problem for me as I am one of those nut cases who is in to frequently changing my polish. If you are an apply-it-and-wear-it-and-forget-about-it-for-at-least-a-week kinda polish wearer, this is probably not the polish for you. If you don't mind a shorter wear time, this polish may just be your cup of tea.
I am a big fan of the I Love Nail Polish brand, overall and this polish, in particular. I think that you will be, too. This beauty is part of the I Love Nail Polish Spring Collection and it is available, now! It's ten clams and you can find it by clicking right here.*
Do you own I Love Nail Polish in Music Box? Have you tried other polishes from this brand? What do you think of them? If you get longer wear than I do, what is your secret?
Thank you so much for swinging by and reading. Have yourself a fab day and may your polish never bubble!
