OPI Toucan Do It if You Try: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

OPI Toucan Do It if You Try from the Brazil Collection is another coral, this time it is a fresh, juicy orange with a hint of iridescent neon fire in it's heart. This is a Summer polish so get a tan, get a mani, get a pedi with this polish, get hot and get ready to party and dance all night long.

I wore this polish before swatching it for this post and it is a new fave. I am crazy about bright, hot colours, this year and this one is one that I am all about. This swatch is two coats (three on my ring and pinkie, thanks to my ridges of doom) and topped with Seche Vite. This polish is shiny on it's own but top coat just powers it up.

The formula on OPI Toucan Do It if You Try is just as beautiful as it's bright, juicy hue. This creme polish applies very well, flowing off of the Pro-Wide Brush I love so much, settles where I place it and doesn't make any raggle baggle. There is no streaking, dragging, pooling, running or bubbling. My only minor gripe is that I need three coats on my ring and pinkie nails, thanks to my stupid ridges but I can't really fault the polish for that, but a lot of cremes do cope with my ridges in two coats, so...

Dry time on this polish is pretty good, enhanced by Seche Vite, of course. Wear time is pretty standard for me with an OPI polish. I got a good, solid four days out of this beauty. As I have said before, long wear time isn't really a huge deal to me, as I am a frequent polish changer. YMMV, I know that some people get a full week or longer out of their OPI polishes, others less. What can I say? We humans are strange creatures and tend to be a bit unpredictable when it comes to our beauty products.

What say you about this bright, juicy orange-y coral polish? Do you like what you see? Are you you going crazy for brights, especially for orange which seems to be absolutely everywhere this year? If you have yet to embrace the orange trend, may I suggest you try it? Most people can find a shade or tone of orange that will flatter them. Keep your skin tone and undertones in mind when you scope out the orange and coral world then sally forth and get thy orange on.

Oh! Of you want OPI Toucan Do It if You Try you should be able to pick it up at your local Ulta, JC Penney salon, Sally Beauty Supply or Sally's online. Try various beauty supplies that carry OPI and of course, small, independent salons and spas that sell this brand.

Okay, 'nuff nattering. Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a terrific day and may your polish never bubble.

  12. A really pretty, wearable orange! Four days is long enough for me, my polish hardly lasts a day with what I put my hands through.

  21. They are perfect for Summer. Sometimes, we start to love colours we formerly hated. I am like that with purple. Couldn't stand it. Now, I adore it and own so many purple polishes it isn't even funny. :)

  27. Seche Vite. Nine times out of ten, it will melt and smooth bubbles. Also, try a little thinner and a soft brush. Gently apply the thinner, it will smooth the surface. Then, if necessary, apply another coat of colour then top coat. :D
