The Lancome Blush Subtil Palettes are packaged in Lancome's signature sleek, black compacts with a gold rose stamped in one corner. The compact feels solid and smooth in the hand. Press the little button on the font and the lid gently springs up to reveal the contents.
Inside the lid is the expected full sized mirror. In the well of the compact is three cakes of softly shimmery cheek beautifying goodness. First is a rosy pink shimmer blush, the middle shade, stamped with the signature Lancome rose is a baby pink satin then there is a narrow, barely pink champagne highlight.
The texture of these blushes is lovely. Soft, velvety smooth. They don't kick up much dust when my brush hits them, they impart a beautiful, radiant flush to the cheeks and wear on my skin all day without touch up.
Swatches, in order found in the palette. I like that the highlight shade is subtle, especially since the blush shades are pretty shimmery and can light up the cheeks pretty well on their own. I like to use this highlight with these blushes and with others, too. I just wish that the cake were larger.
The Lancome Blush Subtil Palette is available in a variety of shades that will flatter skin tones from fair to deep. It is priced at $43.00 and you can buy it at Lancome counters and online from Nordstrom, Dillard's, Neiman Marcus and Sephora. Different retailers have different shades, you may need to hunt around a little to find just the right one.
Do you own any of these lovely little blush palettes? Would you buy any of them? Which trio is your favorite? Please do tell. I think that I very, very much want a peach one, too. So greedy. What can I say?
