I love fragrance. My beak is never happier than when I am standing in a beauty or department store, surrounded by bottles of gorgeous scents, piles of sample cards and a cup of coffee beans. I can spend hours at it. For all of my sniffing and sampling, tho I have a tiny fragrance collection. I limp along on samples and tiny gifties and allot the bulk of my budget to other things.
Last year, shortly after I finally qualified as a Sephora VIB (didn't quite make it to Rouge) I received a purse sized spray bottle of Tory Burch Eau De Parfum as a gift with purchase. I had had a tiny sample vial of the scent a month or two, earlier and I loved it so I was excited to receive this.
Packaged in the signature embossed orange box with black lettering and gold Tory Burch logo was a small, slim 0.14 fl oz glass spray bottle of the fragrance. I love that attention to detail was paid, even to a GWP. The box is heavy card stock, the bottle is glass, the sprayer is decent quality and works perfectly and the gold tone metal lid looks expensive and luxe, not tinny. Very nice.
Described as a fragrance that "Captures classic elements in unexpected ways: Feminine and tomboy, easy and polished. Floral Peony and tuberose blend with crisp citrus notes of grapefruit and neroli anchored by earthy veviter - a bright and complex mix."
I say that Tory Burch smells like late Summer afternoon in a gorgeous garden. Sunshine, slightly crushed flowers and fresh citrus blended together make me feel fresh, warm and sparkling when I wear this fragrance. I love Tory Burch Eau De Parfum. So it seems, does my family. I wore this scent on Thanksgiving. My husband actively sniffed, then remarked on my perfume. Something he rarely does! I usually have to ask him what he thinks. When we got to MIL's place to pick her up on the way to my sister in law's house, she gushed over how good I smelled so I dug the bottle out of my makeup bag in my purse and passed it back to her to spritz on. Upon arriving at my sister in law's, as hugs were exchanged, more gushing from her and bro in law over this scent. It was a huge hit, all around!
Until 2/14/15 Beauty Insiders receive 3X points on fragrance purchases. Maybe now is the time to pull the trigger and treat myself. A rollerball won't break the bank and it's beautifully portable.
Have you tried Tory Burch Eau De Parfum? What do you think of it? Are you a floral lover? More into spicy notes? Woodsy or Oriental? Fresh or green? Please do tell.
