March Favorites

::press sample/self purchase/affiliate::

April is now in full swing. March flew by and it's time for March Favorites. I like doing these posts but I am such a damn-ass slacker and I don't. I need to remedy that.

March was a month of busy and grabbing familiar neutrals that I knew worked to create fast, easy makeup looks on the fly. This pile is my most reached for eye, cheek, lip and nail colours.

For eyes it was all about fool proof, dip in a brush, splash it on and get it done. I relied pretty heavily on my Urban Decay Naked on the Run Palette and my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. These palettes never let me down. It occurs to me that I never did a review of Naked on the Run. It's still available, so I can. I have photos sitting on my hard drive...

Anywhoo.

If I wanted a little extra girlie glow on my eye lids, which I was really into last month, I used my Maybelline Color Tattoo - Inked in Pink alone or with a little soft ivory as a highlight.

I reached for my old faithful Stila Smudge Sticks in Damsel and Angelfish (which I don't think is available, any longer).

NARS Orgasm Blush is a never fail favorite. I know that I can touch my brush down on this blush, take it to my face and buff on effortless colour and highlight, all at the same time.

Rituel De Fille Inner Glow Creme Blush - Desire is that soft, rosy/mauvy/neutral tone that is perfect for a quick, no makeup makeup kind of look. Applied with a duo fibre brush, it just looks like a soft, natural flush. So pretty.

When I needed a little bump up in my glow, I used my Bobbi Brown Highlight Powder in Pink Glow.

My old faithful Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine - Pink in Confidence lived in my handbag and worked hard, keeping my lips comfy and covered in perfect colour anytime, anywhere.

I was kind of into red lips, this last month and Rituel De Fille Forbidden Lipstick - Written in Blood afforded me a semi matte, stay put, easy to apply and wear red pucker.

Maybelline Color Elixir - Petal Plush  is a standard fave for me, This is my second tube of this colour. I love it, that much.

I backed up my lip colours with Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liners in Red Diva and East End Snob.

I am a frequent polish changing machine. Old habit from my polish blogging days, and the fact that I dig trying, wearing, changing polish. Some things never change. However, I did have a few standouts. last month. One, I received very close to the end of the month but I had to include it for reasons.

Barielle Golden Halo is at present, my favorite topper glitter. Its just so... You just have to see it. And layer it over a delicate pink crelly and go insane at how fucking gorgeous your nails are.

OPI That's Hula-rious  is that pale, mint green of  life and the formula is so good. I don't go back and go back to all of my polishes. I am to this one!

Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer - Mint Crush, This bluey-mint dream is ringing all of my bells and also got repeat play on my nails, last month.

So that's it. My makeup and polish favorites for March. I didn't include the mundane like skin care, hair care, face makeup... That stuff doesn't change a whole lot. I don't know... Should I include them? Or would it get stupid and repetitive?

What were your favorites last month? Did you spot any of your faves in my lineup? Tell me about it, in a comment. I like to hear about what others are loving. Gives me ideas for future purchases. Because we all know that I need to buy more stuff...

  1. Love your list of favorites! I don't think I've ever tried anything from Bobbi Brown, but I really like the look of those shimmer bricks.

Lovely picks with several of my faves too! Erika, how pigmented is Inked in Pink, the Color Tattoo. I returned Rose Riot because it was just too sheer. Does Inked in Pink show up on your lid?

  3. Great picks. I'm loving the polish choices. I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't like NARS Orgasm blush.

  5. Thanks, girl. :D Those polishes are everything, right now. I don't think that you are, actually. Plenty of people don't like it. I've read some rather scathing opinions about it! lol

  6. This highlighter was my second Bobbi Brown purchase. My first was an under eye corrector that didn't work for me. This highlighter is splendid. I keep seeing the shimmer bricks and am so tempted...

  7. Inked in Pink is somewhat opaque and very reflective. It's one of the Bold Metals shadows. It's a pretty base and it is and soft, shimmery bit of pretty on it's own.

  11. The first fave springs to mind is because you posted your UD Naked On The Run palette - I finally got that, and got to try Perversion mascara. It's amazing. Not too heavy or wet, just perfect. I have oodles of other mascaras to try, but I just want to keep using this one.

  18. I need to try the Beauty Addicts mascara. Orgasm is one of my favourite blushes as well; it's the only blush I repurchased.

  19. It's good mascara. We had a bumpy beginning, but have settled in nicely together. I'm enjoying it. Orgasm is just so gorgeous. NARS nailed (get it, nailed? *insert Beavis and Butthead laugh, here*) that shade.
