#NailArt Featuring China Glaze Electric Nights Polishes

I was debating doing a straight up swatch and review post of the China Glaze Electric Nights Collection but there are so many wonderful such posts already out there that I decided to have a little fun with it and go in a different direction. I'm going to feature this collection in several posts in the form of simple nail art looks I did, using the polishes and I'll tell you how they performed for me.

This first look was created using three polishes:

Plurple, a true bright, neon leaning purple.

Home Sweet House Music, a bright, warm yellow - orange.

Point Me to the Party a multicoloured neon matte glitter mix in a clear, fluid base.

I started this look by applying Plurple and Home Sweet House Music to alternate nails. I topped the Home Sweet House Music nails with Point Me to the Party. On my Plurple nails, I used a fine tipped brush to paint hashtag symbols with China Glaze Snow (my number one favorite white polish of life) then I went over the white with Home Sweet House Music. I liked the satin finish of these polishes for this nail art look so I skipped top coat. Easy - peasy -lemon - squeasy.

So, how did these polishes perform? In a word, fantastic. For bright/neons, the China Glaze Electric Nights polishes have a fantastic formula. Plurple and Home Sweet House Music both went on smoothly and easily with minimal streaks on the first coat, self leveled amazingly well for neon like polishes, were opaque in two coats, didn't need undies to be fully opaque and show their true, full colour and pow! Dry time is pretty good, too. These polishes dry satin, like most neons. To get them shiny, a top coat is required.

Point Me to the Party is too much fun! China glaze has their glitter base down pat; fluid, smooth, easy to work with and apply. This glitter went on like a dream with little futzing around. They are doing it right. The matte neon glitter pieces range in size from tiny to large and the colours are lime, purple, pink, orange.

If you are on the hunt for these bright, fun, beautiful and extremely good quality bright/neon polishes, gentle reader, get thee to a beauty supply or store or website that carries China Glaze and get the colours that you want, while you can. These polishes are selling fast, the glitters, in particular.

What do you think of the China Glaze Electric Nights polishes? Are you hashtagged out? Do you dance to house music?
