Thank you to all of my lovely readers for entering my giveaway! A winner has been drawn and contacted.
One of my favorite pieces from the limited edition Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset makeup collection is the Arabian Dreams Highlighter.
The sleek black, cinnabar and gold striped compact looks and feels surprisingly weighty and luxe in the hand for an affordable range product. There is a full sized mirror under the lid and in the well of the compact is a four colour palette powder cake of warm, glowing goodness.
From the Website:
One brush swirls the shades together in this multi-shade compact for a dose of skin-perfecting shimmer. The anti-aging formula contains porcelain flower for antioxidant protection and vitis vita, derived from the Italian wine industry, to improve cell detoxification, increase collagen production and hydrate skin.
The multiple tones in this highlighter are golden, sandy and peachy. The powder it's self is very soft, velvety, finely milled and while it is very radiant, is not glittery or overtly sparkly. This powder can be swirled together and applied with a soft brush and a light hand for a subtle sheen or dip your brush in the round, lightest area and buff it in for a high beam shine that will set off a Summer tan and make you look like a glowing goddess. This powder can also be used on your eyes but it is not lip safe.
Here are the various individual colours swatched and next to them, a swatch of them all swirled together and buffed on with a brush.
I'm wearing this highlighter in this photo. It's not easy to see (my lighting is a source of frustration for me, right now) but it's there. I buffed the highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, a little across the center of my forehead, down my nose and a little on my cupid's bow and chin. It gives me that brightness, some radiance but it isn't too much. I don't notice that this powder sinks into my lines or enhances my pores. This is a glorious highlighter for younger or more mature skin.
At the time I am writing this post, the Sonia Kashuk Arabian Dreams Highlighter is not available on their website but you can click the link to check availability in store in your area. The Arabian Dreams Highlighter is $19.99.
Did you pick this beautiful thing up? What do you think of it?

I was drooling over this and the eyeshadow palette at Target, but..and I'm a little embarrassed to admit it.. I thought this was an another eyeshadow palette, but the shades weren't different enough! lol. Well, duh, it makes sense if it's a highlighter. The design is pretty, and I love the peachiness of it.
ReplyDeleteThis thing is gorgeous! It is very different from the eye shadow palette. I'll be yapping about that, soon. ;) The peachy, warm tones in this highlighter are perfect for Summer.
ReplyDeleteThis highlighter is SO beautiful, I think I could even wear it as a blush, because I'm super pale. I've been eyeing these goodies at Target the other day, maybe now's the time to pull the trigger.
ReplyDeleteThis highlighter is beautiful, I love the theme of it and your face of the day is lovely with it!!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the head's up. I tried to fix it but no joy. I think it's a glitch on Rafflecopter's end. I'm so sorry.
