I know that I devote a lot of attention to spendier eye shadows on this blog. I admit, I like them... The beautiful packaging, gorgeous colours, fantastic quality. They have what I want. But not all of my favorite, quality eye shadows come with a hefty price tag.

Witness the Wet n Wild Color Icon Collection Eye Shadow Set in Comfort Zone. This is probably my number one drugstore eye shadow palette. At just under five dollars, I felt absolutely no guilt when, after killing my favorite shades in my last palette, I shit canned it and went to my local Walgreen's and bought a new one.

I admit... In my excitement over new eye shadow palettes that have been coming into my life, I haven't been using this one and I thought I'd pull it out and give it a little love. This fresh, Summery green eye shadow look is done with drugstore shadows, liner and mascara and is quick and easy to apply.

I start with my brows created and a base of eye shadow primer to lock down my eye look and get maximum colour payoff.

I picked up the soft peachy/tan on the left side in a crease brush and rocked it in my crease and blended it up onto my orbital bone then pulled a little under my eye, just at the outer corner. with a shader I dipped into the light green on the right side and patted it onto the movable part of my lid, lash line to crease, taking it all the way into my inner corners then grabbing a clean blending brush, blended the edges into the tan and softened everything together. I touched my dirty crease brush down in the dark green and tapped off the excess and softly buffed that into my crease and outer corner. Then I picked up a little of the bottom right duochrome shade and buffed it into my outer V and just under the outer corner under my eyes. and softly blended it about a quarter of the way in. On my clean blending brush I picked up a little more of the soft peachy/tan and ran it under my eyes, inner to outer corners to blend with the deeper shades and pulled them through. I grabbed a clean blending brush and applied Wet n Wild Brulee on my brow bone and into my inner corners.

I lined with Cover Girl Intensify Me! liquid liner in black and curled my lashes and applied a coat of Cover Girl The Super Sizer Mascara.

Are you a fan of Wet n Wild Color Icon eye shadows? I own a handful of palettes that are absolutely top rate. A few that are... Okay, that I keep around because they are pretty and were limited edition. I really like some of their singles, too. Especially Brulee. It's such a good brow highlight.

I hope that you enjoyed this little... I hesitate to say tutorial, really. How to? Anyway, I hope that you found it helpful.
