I love makeup that is embossed with pretty patterns. It is lovely to own, pretty to look at and nice to use. Today I wanted to share with you my little bouquet of beautiful Milani Rose Blushes.
Mwah Perfectly Poutable Lip Care | Perfectly Portable for Back to School
::sent for consideration/affiliate::
Perfectly portable, perfectly poutable. Mwah lip balms and glosses are made with good for you ingredients like coconut oil and mango butter to pamper your pucker and packaged in bright, fun tubes and sliders that slip right into a pocket, purse or backpack. Affordable, void of harmful chemicals and preservatives, Mwah balms and glosses are cruelty free and produced in a solar powered facility in sunny Southern California.
Mwah Lip Balms are available in Stick and Slider delivery. Lightweight and moisturizing, they have a soft, sweet scent. Some have a little bit of tint in the packaging but go on clear. These balms are nourishing and softening, are lightly glossy and wear a good little while before they need to be reapplied.
I didn't photograph my balms open because they arrived a little the worse thanks to our hot Arizona temperatures and sitting outside my door in the sun for hours before I got home and saw that my package had arrived. I tried popping them in my fridge for a bit to see if they would settle back into place but... They are still perfectly good and usable, just not pretty picture-perfect.
Mwah Lip Gloss is contained in a typical squeezie tube with an angled plastic tip. The gloss is cushioning and shiny, comfortable and emollient and not at all sticky or heavy. I have two of the glosses; Berrylicious, a shimmery berry pink with a mixed berry scent and flavor and Sugar Lips, a soft, nude-pink with an opalescent shift that smells and tastes like brown sugar frosting. Both glosses have nice coverage on the lips and the lasting power is about typical of a lightweight lip gloss.
You can visit the Store Locator on the Mwah website or peruse the lip balm section of some of your favorite stores like Walgreens, WalMart, CVS, Meijer, Target, H.E.B and Amazon. They cost just a few dollars each and are available individually and in multi packs. Perfect for stocking up for back to school.
Have you tried Mwah balms and glosses?

Inflora Botanica Pure Rosewater Mist
::affiliate::
I love rosewater and Inflora Botanica Pure Rosewater Mist is one of the best I have ever tried. USDA certified organic Rosa Damascena blooms are grown in the famous rose growing region of Isparta, Turkey and distilled in state of the art copper equipment rendering rosewater that is so lush, sweet and pure in scent. The rosewater is packaged in heavy amber glass bottles to protect it from light and air and is topped with a fine mist sprayer top.
I have a couple of bottles of this rosewater. One lives on my dressing table and does duty as a makeup setting mist. I like to spritz a little on an eye brush to intensify my eye shadow. It is a lovely light spray on facial toner. On days that I want a very light fragrance, I just mist some rosewater on my hair, skin and clothes. This rosewater lingers very softly, it doesn't fly away right away but it isn't obvious or cloying like a synthetic. It certainly isn't going to blow away those around you. I keep a bottle in my fridge and on a hot day, when I'm feeling prickly and steamed, I'll grab it and mist my face, arms and the back of my neck and instantly feel cooler and refreshed.
Not only is Inflora Botanica Pure Rosewater a gorgeous product, their customer service is lovely. When I ordered my bottle from Amazon, it arrived wrapped in a zip plastic bag having leaked. I was a bit dismayed but, since it was contained, I knew that I could just pour the rosewater from the bag back into the bottle and carry on. Well, what I didn't realize, wasn't careful about was that the rosewater had loosened the label on the bottle and when I picked up the bottle, after removing the sprayer top to hold it over my sink to pour the liquid back in, the label slipped and my bottle fell and more spilled down the front of my cabinet. I ended up losing about a third of my bottle, all told. I e-mailed the shop owner about what happened and she couldn't have been sweeter. We had a very nice e-mail exchange and a new bottle arrived on my doorstep in no time.
For their beautiful product and their absolutely top flight customer service, I can't recommend Inflora Botanica Pure Rosewater Mist highly enough.
Inflora Botanica Rosewater is 100% certified organic, cruelty free.
Do you like and use rosewater in your beauty routine? Do you have a favorite brand? Grow and make your own? Do tell.

butter London Patent Shine 10X | Her Majesty's Red
::affiliate::
butter London Patent Shine 10X in Her Majesty's Red is a clean, classic, perfectly balanced red that everyone needs in their polish arsenal.
The formula is a smooth, silky crelly that was nearly perfectly opaque in two coats. Application is lovely, the formula is the perfect viscosity, I had no trouble with running, pooling, dragging or streaking. Bubbling was a concern due to the uneven cut of the brush. Otherwise, this is a fabulous red polish. I'll continue to enjoy it, happily Seche Vite, if applied while the polish is wet can kill most of the bubbling from the bad brush.
butter London 10X Patent Shine Nail Lacquer has a 7 free formula, claims to offer ten benefits some of which are a gel like cushion and shine, chip and fade resistance, to protect, smooth, strengthen and brighten.
butter London Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer is available in fourteen shades and you can find it at Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom and Macy's and other fine retailers that carry butter London and is priced at $18.00 a bottle.
Have you tried any of the lovely shades from the butter London Patent Shine 10X line? What are your favorites?

Urban Decay Naked on the Run Palette Review | Full Face Look
::affiliate::
So. I have had these pictures of the Urban Decay Naked on the Run palette lurking on my hard drive for the longest forever and a day. I bought it way back last Autumn when it was the hottest trick going, all Limited Edition and "Get it before it's gone!" *sucker!* I took some pictures, but thinking that the pics weren't all that great, that the blogs and vlogs were saturated with the thing and that it was going to sell out and who needed my lame opinion, anyway? why bother? I left it lie. And just got on with enjoying my palette.
Time has passed and this palette is still very available and my photographs were just lurking on my hard drive. Mocking me every time I passed by. You should have heard them... Calling me chicken and daring me to bring them in out of exile, try to freshen them up a bit and finally do my damned job and give this palette a little beauty blogger love.
So, cue the romantic tunes, because here we go:

Butter London Patent Shine 10X in Over the Moon and Bonus Nail Art!
::affiliate::
I recently got very lucky and won a giveaway hosted by Brooke at Bushing Noir for four new Butter London Patent Shine 10X nail lacquers. Having never tried Butter London, I was really excited to receive these polishes and put them through their paces.
Today, I am concentrating on Over the Moon, a grey green creme. This polish photographed light and my camera picked up more of the green than the grey. Gah! This polish is a bit darker and more grey. It's the colour of the ejecta blanket on the face of the Moon. It's really gorgeous. If you like a warm, slightly murky grey, this is the polish for you!
The packaging on this polish is very nice, the bottle is square, head on with a large, very shiny silver tone cap. To ease application, pull off the silver over cap and you have a small, black, ridged easy grip cap with an adorable raven wearing a crown stamped on it. What a perfect little detail!

Fourth of July Nail Art Featuring SinfulColors
::press sample::
Well kids. It's that time again. Time for my annual Fourth of July Nail Art Fiasco. That time when I take perfectly lovely red, white and blue polishes... Possibly a glitter or two and abuse them terribly in my attempt to celebrate Independence Day on my nails.
This year's victims are SinfulColors polishes from their Having a Blast Collection. I received these in the mail and decided to use them for a nail art feature, since there are swatches a - plenty to be had.
How a Fair Skinned Girl Gets a Safe Summer Glow
Summertime and my thoughts turn to softly sunkissed, golden skin. I can't help it. I'm a child of the Seventies. It is at this point that my smart ass son would interject, "The 1870's, right?" Funny boy. No, the 1970's. The decade of the Farrah Flip and the Tropical Tan. If you didn't have both, well you might as well stay home. Locked away in your room listening to corny Donny Osmond 45's on your groovy flower decorated portable record player and reading your way through your mother's huge book stash. Not that I would know anything about that.
The problem with the perfect, "healthy" Saint Tropez seventies tan was of course, the massive amounts of time spent baking in direct sun, usually slathered in oil, to get that way. Not exactly healthy for the skin. Nowadays, I prefer my Summer tan to be a more subtle golden glow. A safe Summer glow. It's not hard to do. It just takes a few supplies, a little know how and dedication. Here is one way I like to go from fair to golden.

Jord Watch | A Modern Statement of Style and Function
::press sample::
Jord. Swedish for Earth. Soil. Land. Accurate movements set in natural woods create modern timepieces that are as beautiful as they are functional.
Today I have to share with you their Ely Series Model in cherry. This simple, elegant piece is modeled along the lines of the classic diver style with it's round face, wide, smooth bezel and link bracelet band. This lovely watch can stand alone and it stacks beautifully with bracelets.
The Ely model has a scratch resistant mineral crystal and a Citizen Myota quartz movement with date display. This watch is as accurate as it is lovely to look at. The watch, while splash resistant is not waterproof. You can get a little water on it when you're washing your hands and it should be okay if you get caught in the rain but don't immerse it. As with any product made with natural wood, there will be variations in colour tone and grain pattern from piece to piece.
