Nude polish is a sore subject for me. Most are terribly unflattering on my skin tone, either giving me lobster claws or making my skin look sick or cadaverous. Not the look I'm looking for! I could be forgiven for being wary of butter London Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer in Shop Girl. This opaque, soft beige creme had me wary. I was afraid that it was going to mess me up, the moment that I applied it.
Shop Girl is a soft, nude beige that looks a bit yellow-y in the bottle. Upon application, I saw that it contains just enough pink to be complimentary to my skin tone. It doesn't turn my fingers red, nor does it make them look sickly. It's that perfect, flattering neutral. I am so pleasantly surprised. I love this polish!
The formula on butter London Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer in Shop Girl is as lovely as the colour. Smooth, silky and biddable, it sits down where I place it, sweeps up the nail without streaking, dragging, running or pooling. Bubbling isn't bad, thanks to the cut of the brush being a bit better in this bottle. Dry time is good, made even better by old faithful Seche Vite. I get an average of three days of wear from butter London Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer. Which is fine... By that time, I'm ready to change it out. Remember that YMMV as far as polish wear is concerned. My nails shrug off most polishes after a day or three so take that for what it's worth to you.
If you have been struggling to find a nude polish that doesn't make your skin look yuk, try butter London Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer in Shop Girl. It might just take the cake.
