Peter Lamas Spa Sensuals Hand and Body Care

I was recently offered the opportunity to try some products by Peter Lamas. Not knowing anything about this brand, I decided to do a little digging and learned a very interesting story about a Cuban immigrant who came to America at the age of seventeen, studied cosmetology in New York and trained with Paul Mitchell at the Vidal Sassoon Salon. After working at Sassoon for three years, Peter went to work for Kenneth Batelle at his Kenneth Townhouse salon in Manhattan and later opened his own salon that he named The Reapers.

In his years working at The Kenneth Townhouse and The Reapers he built up a high end clientele and did a lot of high fashion and editorial work. He also began doing a lot of research into common beauty products and the effects that the ingredients can have on our skin, hair and our bodies. Not liking what he found, Peter Lamas developed his own brand of natural beauty products, free of harmful chemicals, containing herbs, vitamins and botanicals created to nurture, not harm. Peter Lamas Products are a unique blend of nature and science, formulated to enhance all skin types and provide performance driven results.

I have three Peter Lamas Spa Sensuals products to share with you, today.

The Spa Sensuals Rejuvenating Hand Scrub, $21.00 is a gorgeous mix of sea salt crystals, mango and shea butters, almond and grape seed oils and lemon oil for a crisp, citrus twist. Take up a bit of this satisfyingly odd, spongy scrub, (seriously, it's odd, you have to feel it!) and get at your hands, scrubbing away dry, dead skin and treating the skin with nourishing oils and butters and vitamins. I like to scrub until I kind of tire of it, add a tiny bit of water, keep going, it makes this weird, creamy kind of soup and rub that in a while, then rinse it off with warm water, pat my hands dry with a soft towel. Soft. So very soft skin. And this stuff smells good. Sharp citrus good with a hint of herb-y whisper.

Scrub Ingredients:
Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Sodium Chloride, Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Silica, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Chamomilla Recutita Extract*, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract**, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract*, Linoleic Acid & Glycine Soja Sterols, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Caprylyl Glycol, Phospholipids, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil.

Spa Sensuals Intensive Repair Hand Cream, $21.00 is a rich, nourishing blend of shea butter, grape seed, almond and macadamia oils pamper, soothe and soften skin as vitamins and antioxidants treat and protect with a light, citrus scent. This cream is thick and emollient, a little spreads easily into the skin, sinks in readily, starts working immediately and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy or sticky. When used in concert with the scrub, my hands feel like buttah. Buttah for days.

I want to use these three products all up, pampering myself every day with them until I've drained every last drop and grain of goodness from their packaging but I'm waiting. Hoarding them. Winter is coming, soon. My dry skin takes the cold season hard and I think that these three products will be an especially welcome treat when the temperatures drop, the humidity bottoms out and the winds start to howl. They are tucked away, waiting.

I am very pleased with my first encounter with Peter Lamas products. They are beautiful and efficacious. Cruelty free, vegan, free of parabens, petrochemicals and sulfates, these are products you can feel good about.
