BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured | My Ambivalent Notes
//affiliate//Ambivalence about a makeup product. I feelz it.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured in Moonstone is a recent impulse purchase that went a little sideways for me. Please don't misunderstand me, it's not the product it's self that I regret, I think I chose the wrong shade. I had Opal and Moonstone confused in my foggy little brain when I placed my order and, well, #oldfartstruggles.
Packaged in a positively adorable petite sized version of the iconic BECCA brushed metal and rubberized plastic compact, this creme formula highlighter adds luminosity and light to the features and a soft, youthful glow to the skin. So far, so good. But, this is aggressively golden and while it's pretty in swatches, I'm hesitating to put it on my face. Which is weird. I am not usually one to shy away from splashing anything shimmery all the fuck over myself.
Check out this swatch... A fairly hefty swipe and one blended out. It's not scary, really. I think I could pull it of... I wear NARS Orgasm successfully and it has hella golden shimmer, especially in the sun. I mean, seriously, have you ever put that blush on, then gone out in the sun and looked in the mirror? Yeah. So why am I suddenly demurring? Maybe because it's creme, rather than powder? I practically faceplant in my Becca X Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Pop and that puppy is hardly retiring!
I'm a puzzle.
Do you own BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured? How do you feel about it? Do you use it, regularly or does it languish? So far, mine is basically a photo prop. *sigh*
