Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick - Rouge

Greetings from the plague pit. My son was ill with the zombie plague cold/flu thing that seems to be going around and he, being the loving, giving young man he is, gave it to his father. I thought I was going to escape, as I usually do... Son's virus ran it's course and I was fine. Husband's virus ran it's course and I was still feeling fine. Then... It happened. That icky, watery sensation in my nose and head. It isn't like my normal allergy symptoms, it is that first, subtle harbinger of impending doom. My normally highly efficient immune system has betrayed me. I have succumbed to the zombie plague. It's early days, but I already feel like shit. This should be fun. I need a sarcasm font. And a gallon of NyQuil. Bleargh!

Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick - Rouge-Review-notesfrommydressingtable.com

I was drifting around the sale section of the Sephora website, one day a while back. I don't know what I was looking for, really. Just a little... Something? To add to an order, I guess. I ran across this lipstick and I'm really happy that I did. Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Rogue. Normally $21.00 this beautiful lipstick was marked down to $15.00. I didn't know if they were just clearing out this shade or the line... I did a little digging around and it seems that it was indeed, the line. Shame, really.

Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick - Rouge-Review-notesfrommydressingtable.com

Encased in an hourglass shaped, wide polished silver plastic tube, Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Rogue has a lovely, substantial feel in the hand without being overly heavy. This lipstick doesn't really add any weight to my handbag when I carry it around. The embossed bullet swivels up, smoothly to reveal a deeply pigmented, fiery orange coral.

Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick - Rouge-Review-notesfrommydressingtable.com

This lipstick applies easily and smoothly, it becomes fully opaque in few passes, the finish is lightly glossy and the feel is silky and comfortable. Wear time? Not long but touchups are seamless so keeping the colour fresh is effortless. I can wear this lipstick all day and my lips feel just as happy and hydrated when I remove it as they did, when it was first applied.

I honestly don't grok why this line is no longer a thing. This lipstick is lovely. The one shade left, Rogue is still available, in the Sephora sake section, if you would like to snap up a new Summer colour. Can you imagine this with a golden tan and plenty of highlighter on a hot Summer night? Hot-cha-cha!

What are your favorite Summer lip colours?

OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser - Review- notesfrommydressingtable.com

OZ Naturals Ocean Minerals Facial Cleanser, formulated with Ocean Minerals, Rosehip Oil and Vitamin E is the perfect solution for skin that requires a steep clean. This foaming, unscented clear gel dives deep, thoroughly powering away makeup, dirt and oil, leaving the complexion breathtakingly clean and refreshed.

OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser for a Fresh and Deep Clean - notesfrommydressingtable.com

This vegan, cruelty free cleanser is, in my opinion, best suited to oily to normal skin types. My very dry skin, while sparkling clean, also felt stripped, overwrought and crying for moisture. I would have adored this cleanser when I was younger and had oily/combo skin. Now, it's just a bit much. I passed this on to a family member with combo skin and she is loving it.

Organic Herbal Infusion, Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Lavandula Officinalis (Lavender Water), Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (from coconuts), Cocamide MIPA, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Ocean Mineral Complex, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Salvia Sclarea (Clary Sage Essential Oil), Olea Europaea (Olive Oil), Organic Rosa Canina (Rose Hip Oil), Borago Officinalis (Borage Oil), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange Peel Tincture), Origanum Compactum (Oregano Oil), Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit Seed ), Organic Calendula Officinalis (Calendula), Origanum Arctium Lappa (Burdock Root), Organic Trifolium Pratense (Red Clover), Organic Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.

If you have oily to normal skin that loves a deep, refreshing clean, give OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser a try. I think that you'll like it.

Are you a fan of affordable, efficacious skin care? Have you tried this cleanser or other OZ naturals skin care?

Snacking on Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara

Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara - Review- notesfrommydressingtable.com

Is Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara all that and a bag of chips? Curious, I bought a snack size tube to give it a test drive and see if it lives up to it's name and claims.

According to Benefit, this mascara is inspired by hair rollers, imparting super curl and lift to the lashes, giving a sexy, wide eyed look. The patent pending Hook 'n' Roll wand features custom designed bristles that catch, lift and curl even short, straight lashes. Benefit claims that you can throw away your lash curler, thanks to this instant, curve setting formula that creates and holds curl for twelve hours. The easy to remove formula boasts lash conditioning properties from Pro Vitamin B5 and Serine.

Benefit lays a lot of claims on a little tube of mascara. Does it live up? Let's take a look. First of all, the packaging is pure pretty. The shiny, black plastic tube is printed in coral pink with the brand logo and name. The cap is a matching rubber, diamond embossed coral pink. So girlie!

Snacking on Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara - Review- Wand Detail - notesfrommydressingtable.com

Open the mascara and pull out a curved, rubber wand with small, spiky, slightly curved teeth. The formula is low viscosity, deeply black and fairly wet. Thanks to the wand, Roller Lash goes on easily and quickly without clumping.

Snacking on Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara - On Eye - notesfrommydressingtable.com
In addition to correcting my dark circles, I edited the white of my eye as allergy and crap sleep induced redness is not so pretty, in macro.

This is my lashes with one very generous coat of Benefit Roller Lash applied to curled lashes. I have a lot of lid space and hooded eyes, so my respectably long lashes appear shorter than they really are. The mascara applies evenly, wraps each lash for lovely definition and that fanned out, feathery look I love. My natural length is beautifully enhanced but this mascara doesn't give super drama volume. I don't normally wear mascara on my lower lashes because of my dark circles but I applied to my lowers for these photos to show that the wand applies to those lashes easily and without making a mess of it.

Does this mascara curl and hold that curl? Well... No and kind of. I curled my lashes before application, my lashes were not any more curled after I finished than before. Does it hold the curl? Somewhat. While my lashes did lose some of their curl, they retained nice curve and the mascara does seem to lift and make my eyes look a bit more wide open and awake.

Snacking on Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara - on - notesfrommydressingtable.com

My lashes feel soft and light with Benefit Roller Lash. This is a very comfortable mascara to wear. Tho I normally apply one generous coat and call it a day, if I want to build up a bit of additional oomph, this mascara takes to application of a second coat beautifully without turning into a tarantula legged nightmare. I can wear this mascara all day long and it doesn't melt, smear, transfer or flake.

Removal, which I have heard and read can be difficult is a breeze. I have removed this mascara with eye makeup remover, micellar water and oil and in every case, it whisks away without much effort, at all.

I like Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara. I will most likely buy a full size tube, once this snack size is done with. The little one is $12.00 and the full size tube, $24.00. I bought mine from Sephora.

Have you tried Benefit Roller Lash Super Curling & Lifting Mascara? How do you like it? Please do tell.

For Firmer and Fresher Peepers Try Oz Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Cream

OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Cream Review - notesfrommydressingtable.com

OZ Naturals, one of my favorite skin care companies offers their Ultra Ageless Eye Cream. This rich, hydrating formula contains collagen building Matrixyl Synthex, Astaxanthin, a powerful, natural antioxidant that provides anti inflammatory support and protection from free radicals. Coffee Seed Extract, Algae Extract, Carrot Root Extract and Vitamin E work in synergy to protect and smooth the delicate skin around the eyes.

OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Cream Review Swatch - notesfrommydressingtable.com

Rich and lightweight, only a little is needed. Dot on under the eyes and gently smooth all around the eyes then tap with the fingers to fully absorb and give yourself a delicate, refreshing little massage. Enjoy the effect of moisturized, soft skin and decreased appearance of fine lines. I like this eye cream for night, as a topper to treatments and awake to a fresher, smoother eye area.

Key Ingredients:
Key Ingredient 1:
Matrixyl®synnthĂ© 6®- This patented ingredient uses state-of-the-art peptides to help diminish wrinkles from the inside out. With regular usage, collagen can be stimulated to fill in and smooth out troubled areas such as crow's feet. Clinical studies show a 3-dimensional decrease in wrinkles of 31% to 100% after two months of daily usage.
Key Ingredient 2:
Astaxanthin- A powerful antioxidant, Astaxanthin is sometimes known as "Super Vitamin E," since it has an antioxidant action up to 500 times that of Vitamin E. It has also been shown to have very powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Astaxanthin is a unique antioxidant in that it can protect both the fat-soluble and the water-soluble parts of cells, while most antioxidants only protect one or the other.
Key Ingredient 3:
Algae Extract- Natural algae extract nourishes, protects and hydrates skin with vitamins and minerals, and provides wrinkle-preventing properties.
Key Ingredient 4:
Carrot Root Extract- This anti-inflammatory and anti-aging ingredient helps reduce wrinkles and scarring.
Full List of Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetearyl Olivate, Glycerin, Sorbitan Olivate, Stearyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Caffeine, Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Paullinia Cupana Seed Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Saccharina Longicruris Extract, Tocopherol, Lecithin, Urea, Maltodextrin, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Sucrose Stearate, Polyglyceryl- 10-Laurate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid.
I am enjoying this eye cream and I feel that it is a benefit to my complexion. Is it a time machine? Um. No. But it helps my fifty-one year old eyes look as well as they can. I'll take it.

OZ Naturals skin care is effective, affordable and cruelty free. I recommend this line because I have had pretty extensive experience with it and I know that these products give results, not just empty promises. You can buy from the OZ Naturals website and from Amazon.

Pro Vitamins A, C and E protect from environmental damage and Cucumber, Green Tea and Eucalyptus extracts calm, soothe and protect skin.

Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic Offers a Firmer and More Radiant Complexion - notesfrommydressingtable.com

An elegant, frosted jar contains thirty-six dual sided pads that deliver this soothing, cooling treatment to the skin. The pads are generously soaked with product, so you never have to worry that your skin isn't receiving a full measure of this beautiful formula.

Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Propylene Glycol, Gluconolactone, Glucoheptonolactone, Glycerin, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Algae Extract, Lactobionic Acid, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Arginine, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Retinyl (Vitamin A) Palmitate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Camellia Oleifera (Japanese Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Menthyl Lactate, Ammonium Hydroxide, Polysorbate 20, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Parfum (Fragrance), CI 42090 (Blue 1).
Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic Offers a Firmer and More Radiant Complexion - notesfrommydressingtable.com

Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic couldn't be easier to use. After cleansing, open the jar and take off the plastic inner seal and pick up a pad with clean fingers and sweep the pad across the skin, treating every bit of the surface of your face. Gently tap the toner into the skin with the pads of your fingers and give it a few moments to sink in before proceeding with the rest of your skin care. Enjoy the firming sensation and brighter, clearer, more toned skin. Replace the plastic inner cover before you put the lid back on the jar to prevent the pads from drying out.

I like this treatment so much. My skin feels firmer, smoother and has a more refined tone when I use it. If you like to use toner and are looking for one that does more than simply finish the cleansing process, take a look at this one. I think that you might really like it.

You can find the SkinRise Bionic Tonic and other anti aging cleansers, treatments and moisturizers to beautify and perfect your complexion on the Exuviance site. For Dry Skin Care on a Budget Say Yes To Coconut

//sent for consideration//
Yes To Coconut Is Dry Skin Care On A Budget-notesfrommydressingtable.com

Yes To, the brand that brings us nature based beauty introduces specialized care for dry skin. The Yes to Coconut Collection was created to hydrate and restore dry skin and hair while smelling delicious. I received three products from the line to try and share with my gentle readers.

Yes To Coconut For Dry Skin Care At A Budget Price-notesfrommydressingtable.com

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser is an Ulta Exclusive. The tagline for this product is, "We'll stop the world and melt with you!" This thick, balmy cleanser has a light, sweet coconut scent and breaks down makeup and cleanses thoroughly without stripping or irritating my dry skin. I remove my eye makeup with my favorite remover then dispense a dollop of the Melting Cleanser into my palm, lightly rub my hands together and massage all over my face, then add a little warm water to transform the balm into a light, creamy emulsion to completely clean then rinse away with a warm face cloth. My skin feels fresh, clean, hydrated and comfortable. I like this cleanser and I will purchase it, when this tube runs out.

Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Glycerin, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Sucrose Stearate, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Water (Aqua), Tocopheryl Acetate, Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Fruit, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Orchis Mascula Flower Extract, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum). *Certified Organic Ingredient

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask. Say "Yes!" to this mask brimming with virgin coconut and avocado oils and soothing, detoxifying natural clay and "Hello!" to soft, moisturized skin. I slather a generous coat of this white, creamy-dreamy concoction all over my face, relax for ten or fifteen minutes while I enjoy the fresh, light coconut scent then rinse it away to reveal a plumped, happy, hydrated complexion. I am impressed as I can be with this lovely mask and yes, I will grab another tube when this one is gone.

Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Bentonite, Hydrogenated Vegetable Glycerides, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Coconut Alkanes, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Galactoarabinan, Glyceryl Stearate, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, Titanium Dioxide, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Honey, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Juice, Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Seed Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Fruit Extract, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Extract, Orchis Mascula Flower Extract, Psidium Guajava (Guava) Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Propanediol, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum). *Certified Organic Ingredient
Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm. This Ulta exclusive is a triple threat of virgin coconut oil, shea butter and argan oil that combined, deeply hydrate and nourish the delicate skin around my eyes. A little bit of this rich, smooth cream gently tapped in around my peepers temporarily plumps and reduces the appearance of fine lines and aging. I prefer this for night, as it is a little rich for under makeup, for my taste. In my eyes (see what I did, there?) this is another winner for this line and I will treat myself to a new one, once my sample is depleted.

Water (Aqua), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Sucrose Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Mica, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice*, Xanthan Gum, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Tocopherol, Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Seed Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Extract, Psidium Guajava (Guava) Fruit Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Orchis Mascula Flower Extract, Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Fruit Extract, Potassium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum). *Certified Organic Ingredient
I am enjoying and benefiting from these three skin beautifiers and I want to further explore this line. It is ethical, efficacious, delicious and affordable. Yes to Coconut beauty can be found at Ulta and other retailers that carry the Yes To line. Yes to Coconut products are at least 95% natural, free of parabens, phthalates, SLS, chemical sunscreens (YAY!!!!), and other harsh, potentially harmful ingredients and their packaging is recyclable. Yes To is Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free so you can feel good about enjoying their products. Visit Yes To on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and Instagram.

Exuviance Firm-NG6 Non-Acid Peel

Exuviance Firm-NG6 Non-Acid Peel-Review and How To-notesfrommydressingtable.com
//sent for consideration//
Form the originators of the Glycolic Acid Peel comes a next generation in home treatment targeted at anyone who wants increased cell turnover, exfoliation and the benefits of a peel without the irritation or a visit to a doctor's office or spa.

Exuviance Firm-NG6 Non Acid Peel: (from their website)
  • 6% Patented NeoGlucosamine® formulation provides all the benefits of a peel without irritation, it's a neutral, non-acid compound
  • Accelerates cell renewal, improves texture and tone
  • Plumps skin matrix to increase volume and help firm and tighten skin
  • Exfoliates, reduces pigment to brighten skin
  • Expertly formulated by the originators of the first Glycolic Acid peel
  • Leave-on, no-rinse formula, for all skin types
  • 100% agreed product does not burn
Aqua (Water), Acetyl Glucosamine, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Acetyl Tyrosinamide, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Isostearate, Polysorbate 20, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 14700 (Red 4).
How does NeoGlucosamine work? By exfoliating it helps build the skin's matrix, to increase volume, smooth and brighten skin tone. NeoGlucosamine delivers an AHA peel result in a neutral, non acid compound.

Exuviance Firm-NG6 Non-Acid Peel-Review-notesfrommydressingtable.com

How to Use: Pull the lid off the elegant, double walled jar and with clean fingers, press down evenly on the disk to pull up one to two pumps of the clear gel peel (I use one to one and a half). Spread it across the skin without rubbing then gently tap and pat until absorbed. Allow to sit, undisturbed for five to ten minutes then follow up with the rest of your treatments and moisturizers. Apply at night before bed. This peel feels a little tacky on the surface for a while but that dissipates and the skin feels a little tighter, a bit firmer. Over time, as dead skin cells are sloughed, the skin feels softer and firmer and looks brighter and clearer.

Remember, with increased cell turnover comes skin that is even more vulnerable to UV exposure so don't forget to wear a good sunscreen to protect your fresh, renewed complexion.

While this treatment is designed to work with just about all skin types, as a Dry Skinned American, if I don't apply plenty of Hyaluronic Acid and moisturize as if I'm getting paid to my skin can get extremely dry and flaky. I find, for my skin that stepped up manual exfoliation, along with using this peel and gallons of moisturizer is most effective. Your own routine will vary by your age, skin type and concerns.

I like this treatment. I need to remember to scrub and moisturize like a madwoman but I am noticing smoother, softer skin and increased cell turnover and sloughing of dry, dead cells.
