Hydrated and Glowing Skin for Spring with Valentia

Spring has sprung and we are all ready to slough off the dry, tired skin from Winter and move on into the warmer weather with softer, smoother, hydrated and glowing skin. Valentia is helping me with this task and I'll share with you just how.

Step one is to cleanse and thoroughly exfoliate my skin. I like a good, down and dirty hardcore manual exfoliation on a regular basis. My skin is very dry, I have high cell turn over and my face can get flaky, fast so I have to stay on top of things to keep my skin smooth and looking fresh. Once my skin is cleansed and exfoliated, I reach for a deeply hydrating masque. One that has been in my arsenal, lately is the Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask. With a blend of Amino Acids and Hyaluronic Acid, this mask can step up to the task.

A loosely gelatinous formula contains a Silk Protein Amino Acid blend, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and CoQ10 to deeply hydrate, firm, soften, increase collagen production and plump the skin while helping to reduce the signs of aging by fighting fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

I apply this mask by scooping out a generous dollop with an impeccably clean synthetic foundation brush onto the back of my hand then from there, I smooth the mask all over my face with the brush. As the mask settles on my skin it gives off the most pleasant, not at all uncomfortable "cool burn." The sensation lasts a few minutes then fades away. There is a rather overt herbal/"mustardy" scent. It dissipates as the mask dries but if you are scent sensitive or dislike fragrance in your products, I'd suggest passing on this one. I apply this pretty close to my sensitive eyes and I had no trouble with irritation. The directions say to leave it on for fifteen to thirty minutes. I like a bit thicker layer and leave it on much longer. What can I say, I'm a rebel. And I enjoy this stuff so...  When it's time to remove, a soft, wet face cloth sweeps the mask away to reveal soft, hydrated, plumped up looking skin.

Valentia True Glow Eye Cream Review notesfrommydressingtable.com

After applying my favorite serum (or three) it's time for eye cream. I use a one-two punch. I start with a long time favorite Retinol treatment them I go in with a lovely, hydrating eye cream. Valentia True Glow Eye Cream is a silky, off white lotion rich in Vitamin C, Rose Hip Oil, Astaxanthin drops into the delicate skin around the eyes to hydrate, brighten and firm.

A sanitary pump and deep amber glass bottle protect the active ingredients from light and air so that this eye cream can do it's job of diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, firm and tighten while it brightens the eye area, overall.

  • Astaxanthin Is a powerful antioxidant that increases moisture levels, smooths and increases elasticity.
  • Resistem Natural plant Stem Cells protect and repair the skin from environmental pollutants and stress related aging.
  • Vitamin C Visibly brightens making the eye area look well rested and more youthful.
  • Organic Rosehip Oil Deeply hydrates to plump fine lines and wrinkles for smoother skin.
  • Arnica A natural inflammatory that is purported to soothe, restore and diminish the appearance of dark circles. In my personal experience, this eye cream does nothing for my dark circles, I wish like you wouldn't believe that it did! Alas... I doubt that there is an eye cream anywhere on this planet that will lighten the deep, dark pools under my eyes.
Life is expensive, busy and complicated. How lovely is it to be able to easily source affordable, effective skin care that really works? Results matter. That is my number one requirement for any skin care product or line and so far, Valentia Ultra Plumping and Hydrating Mask and True Glow Eye Cream are doing their jobs quite nicely and my skin is the happier and better for it.

If you dig a stimulating, hydrating mask experience and a lovely, gentle yet efficacious eye cream, I encourage you to give these a whirl as I think that you will enjoy them and appreciate the results.

Have you tried any Valentia skin care products? I've just started test driving a serum that is promising. More on that, at a later date.
