BITE Beauty is a brand with which I fell in love when I tried their High Pigment and Matte Creme Lip Pencils. I love the formula and colours and the lovely, comfortable wear of them so much so when I started reading rave reviews of the BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick by my fellow bloggers, I knew that I had to try it out, for myself and see if it lives up to the hype and the quality and beauty of the BITE lip pencils.
BITE Beauty is committed to creating lip products that are as beautiful as they are kind to humans and this big, blue globe that we all share. BITE uses nourishing, edible oils, triple milled pigments and naturally pressed fruits to create their creamy, colour saturated lipsticks in small, hand created batches.
Packaged in a drippy lip print embellished outer box, BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick has a soft, round, matte black tube with an angled top and a discreet, shiny black logo printed on the base. The tube feels nice in the hand and the cap closes securely and doesn't come loose or gunk up the inside of my handbag. When you roll up the bullet, you are greeted by a clean, smooth lipstick with the BITE B pressed in the side.
I bought BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in the shade Souffle, a marshmallow pink. The swatch on the Sephora website turned out to be very different from the lipstick that landed on my doorstep. This pale, cool toned pink is much lighter than I thought it was going to be and I was a bit dismayed by it.
Until I got it on my lips. Application of this creamy soft formula couldn't be easier. A few quick swipes smooths this lipstick in place and delivers a perfect, opaque, gently glossy finish that makes my lips look lush and pillowy soft. The feel is light and ever so comfortable and the formula is ultra hydrating, leaving my lips feeling moisturized and cherished.
Lipsticks like this aren't super long wearing, but touch ups are easy and seamless so I don't mind. I need to use a good barrier pencil with this lipstick as it is so emollient that it likes to bolt out into my stupid little vertical lip lines.
This cool, clean, pale pink is going to be just the thing for Winter days ahead. It has an "ice queen" feel and is the perfect foil to bold, smoky eyes or chilly, pale, barely there eyes and cheeks. I'm happy that I chose this shade and I'm enjoying this pale pink very much.
BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick is available in forty-one shades so everyone, of every skin tone should find one or more to work beautifully for them. I have my eyes on a few more I'd like to pick up in the future.
BITE Beauty is cruelty free and created without sulfates, parabens and phthalates.
