Of the Disqus commenting system, anyway. 😎
I've been using Disqus for some years, now and while it had it's pros and cons, I realized that the cons were outweighing the pros. The widget often liked to take it's time loading, it would show for some people on some browsers or devices, not for others. Anyone who wants to leave a comment on my blog had to jump through the hoops of registering an account with Disqus and even worse was knowing that every one of the lovely, kind words my readers have left for me on that widget were being held hostage by Disqus because they don't synch with Blogger.
I dithered for a long time about uninstalling the widget before finally deciding to rip off the bandage, bear the temporary pain of losing years of comments while knowing that all new comments left, from this moment on will be truly mine and will stay where they belong, with my blog.
I didn't want to say goodbye to all of your sweet, supportive, helpful and often downright funny thoughts but it had to be done. Just know that I read, value and deeply appreciate every comment I have ever been given and I will continue to cherish your words, into the future.
