My affair continues with Play! by Sephora Beauty Subscription Box Service. This month's theme is The Soft Side.

My Play! by Sephora box contained six snack sized products and a very pretty rose pink satin bag with a muted rose sating drawstring ribbon tie. Tres` girlie. The products I received this month were all nice quality but only half were right for me.

Nars Velvet Lip Glide. The first thing I noticed when I pulled this little lippie from it's bag is the high quality packaging, even for a sample. I received the shade Bound, a flattering, wearable rose pink nude. The applicator is a velvety doe foot that evenly and precisely applies the creamy smooth, lightly vanilla scented colour to my lips. The finish is glossy but not shiny, the feel is soft and comfortable. I only wore this for an hour, the first time out so I don't know how long it wears. My lips didn't have a royal, screaming hissy fit about wearing this formula for that time but I'll need to give it a longer test run to see if this is something I'll be happy to pay $26.00 for a full size. We'll see.

Clinique Pep Start HydroBlur Moisturizer. This product is intended for oily/combo skin (so why the hell Sephora sent it to my dried out old ass is beyond me) but it is supposed to lightly hydrate, as well as blurring the appearance of pores and control shine so I thought that it may come in handy in the summer, over my usual moisturizer as a light additional primer step for my t-zone where I tend to get more visible pores and a little shine when it's hot and muggy. This is a product I don't foresee myself purchasing in the full size. That is $29.50 I can spend on something else.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to brighten and depuff. I have used Origins products in the past and I really liked them so I have high hopes for this eye cream. I currently have a couple of snack sized eye creams as well as my usual full sizes going so it will be a bit before I am ready to open this one and dive into it. If I love it, $30.00 isn't an outrageous price for a full size jar.

Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Milkshake. This nude has a gloriously pretty, ultra fine golden shimmer sheen that my old, tired point and shoot didn't even come close to capturing. Ah, well. I sent this along to a new home, unopened. I have heard that the Lip Injection plumping formula is quite an intense experience and I doubt that my very sensitive, fussy lips would appreciate it. I would have loved one of the BITE Beauty Lip and Cheek Sticks that were in some recipients' bags, instead.

Sephora Collection Lash Craft Length & Volume Mascara. A lot like the Sephora Collection lippies I have tried, I don't have a lot of luck with their mascaras. This little one was passed along to a new home.

I usually like Marc Jacobs fragrances. His Daisy scents, in particular so I had high hopes that I would love Divine Decadence. With notes described as Champagne Extract, Orange Blossom, Creamy Bergamot, Gardenia, Hydrangea, Honeysuckle, Saffron, Vanilla and Liquid Amber I was expecting a lush, gorgeously floral, softly vanilla-sweet scent that I would love. Nope. This fragrance is none of that. It is a weak, thin, vaguely floral with a weird, mint undertone and no vanilla, no rich, lush, deliciousness. What you see in the vial, above is what is left and it will stay that way, as this scent is not for me.

Well. Ya can't win 'em all, I guess. This Play! by Sephora Beauty Subscription Box was hardly a ringing success, as far as I am concerned. Half of the products were a bust for me but I have high hopes for my March box.

Play! by Sephora is, overall a beauty subscription service with which I am pleased and I am keeping on with it. If you think that you might enjoy it, it's ten dollars a month and bills to the credit/debit card that you keep on file with your Sephora account. Signup is easy, just enter your e-mail address where prompted and you will be notified when your subscription is about to begin.

Do you subscribe to Play! by Sephora? What products did you receive, this month? Were you happy with them? Please, do tell.
