My Favorite Drugstore Winter Complexion Care for Dry and Mature Skin from Derma-E
Winter is coming (yeah, yeah, I know...) and I am gearing up my skin care routine to cope with the cold, zero humidity air, ever present wind and indoor heating that all conspire to further sap the life out of my already very dry, maturing skin.
That is, if winter ever does come. It was eighty degrees, in my neck of the woods, today. Eighty. Degrees. Dude, that's just not normal. It is way too warm, here for this time of year. But, enough of my bitching about the weather. Let's talk skin care!

It is my pleasure and privilege to have the opportunity to try a wide variety of skin care brands, from affordable to spendy and one thing I have learned is that high quality, efficacious products can be found at very affordable prices from your local drugstore or Ulta Beauty.
One skin care brand I have really fallen in love with is Derma-E. This exceptional and affordable skin care line offers products for all ages and skin types. I am absolutely delighted that they have so many fantastic skin treats that are more than capable of dealing with my crazy dry, maturing skin.
Removing every trace of makeup and thoroughly cleansing my skin is crucial to a healthy, glowing complexion and one cleansing product I've been loving is Derma-E Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil - $15.99. This cleansing oil removes makeup and gets my skin clean and leaves it feeling soft and pampered. There is a gentle rose scent, it isn't very strong and it doesn't linger past rinsing it away.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Organic Simmondsia Chinese Seed Oil, Organic Argania Spinosa
Water, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate , Retinyl Palmitate, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemon Grass) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Plumeria Fragrance
When dry winter air starts kicking my skin's ass, it can get dull and flaky, fast. I find that regular exfoliation is necessary to keep my complexion looking bright and fresh and feeling soft and lets my skin care sink in, where it can do the most good. Derma-E Microdermabrasion Scrub with Dead Sea Salt - $23.99 is a no joke scrub that gets down to the nitty-gritty to polish my complexion to a glass smooth finish. There is a hint of scent, not much and it doesn't linger.
Water (Aqua), Magnesium Oxide, Silica, Volcanic Sand (Pumice), Pearl Powder, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Stearate, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Juice, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Orange) Oil, Glycerin, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Capric/Caprylic Triglyceride, Glycine, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) (Vitamin E), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexl Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate.
A topper for my moisturizer to offer extra hydration. An easy, softening serum. A lightweight, stand alone moisturizer when I'm feeling lazy and don't feel like going through my whole routine. Face oil serves all of these purposes. Face oil is also great for cuticles, dry skin anywhere else and of course, my hair! I like to deep oil before washing, lightly oil after to seal in moisture, soften and add additional shine. Derma-E Rejuvenating Sage & Lavender Face Oil - $16.50 is a multi tasker that has earned it's position in my skin care arsenal. There is a pleasant yet light herb-lavender scent. If you are sensitive or allergic to lavender, skip this one.

With a smooth, creamy, drop-into-my-skin texture and a zephyr of tropical scent, Derma-E Hydrating Night Cream, $19.99 combines Hyaluronic Acid and natural Vitamin A and glycerine to moisturize and soften my skin and call me crazy but it feels a little firming, too. I'm probably just crazy.

I have this in the old packaging, I received it just before the new look rolled out but no worries, it's still the same great eye cream. I like to layer this with a Retinol treatment eye cream for double the goodness. At my age, my eye area can use all of the help it can get!
