Spring has sprung, in my part of the country and my thoughts are turning to the perfect blush colours to wear on my fair skin as the days warm up and my allergies shift into high gear in their never ending quest to do me in, once and for all. Today, the Makeup Wars bloggers are sharing some of our favorite blushes for spring. I did some stash diving and I came up with three pink and three coral blushes perfect for the bright, warm days ahead. I decided to choose blushes in different price points so that everyone can find something fresh and pretty for the new season.

the best blushes for fari skin this spring from hourglass and clinique and eddie funkhouser

It's all about pink! Lipstick, blush, nail polish, even eye shadow. If it's pink, it's for me. Pink is a perfect shade for fair skin, whether cool, warm, or more neutral and there are pinks that can flatter just about everyone. Here are three of my favorite pink blushes from my collection:

my favorite pink blushes for spring are perfect for fair skin from hourglass and clinique and eddie funkhouser

Save: Eddie Funkhouser Ultra Intensity Cheek Colour, $8.99. Peepshow is a matte, cool Barbie pink. The quality of the blush is so good. The powder is finely milled and it applies, blends and wears so nicely.

Spend: Clinique Cheek Pop/Blush Pop, $23.00 in Pink Pop is a delicate, slightly luminous baby pink. I adore this blush, it is so easy to work with and wear.

Splurge: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush, $38.00 is a beautiful rose pink swirled with Hourglass' famous and fabulous Ambient Lighting Powder. This blush is so light, silky soft and imparts an angelic, radiant flush to the cheeks. This is one of my favorite blushes in my collection and it's worth every precious penny I paid for it.

Beautiful coral blushes for spring for fair skin from nars and becca and milani

Next up is coral. After pink, I adore coral. So warm, bright, lively and easy to wear. There are so many versions of coral, from peach to orange to peachy-pink to red. I gravitate to peach, orange and peachy-pink corals as they best suit my complexion.

milani and becca and nars blushes in coral for spring

Save: Milani Baked Blush, about $10.00. Corallina is a warm, peachy-orange coral shot through with a beautiful gold shimmer. This blush is so pretty with a faux tan.

Spend: Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush, $34.00. My shade is Snapdragon. This velvety soft blush is super pigmented; I only need the tiniest bit on the tips of the hairs on my blush brush to blend a glorious, lit-from-within flush on my cheeks. This blush is simply divine.

Last but not least, we have one of my first higher end blushes and my all time favorite blush shade, ever. Yeah. Nars Blush, $30.00 in Orgasm. The quintessential peachy-pink coral with a marvelous gold shimmer that fires when the sun hits it. This blush is beautiful on when I'm pale, it is beautiful when I have a sunless tan and am a bit bronzed up. Orgasm never lets me down. Rare for me, this is my second one. I like it, that much.

So there we have it kids. My picks for the best spring blushes for fair skin. Do you see anything you like or already love? Please, do tell.

  3. What beauties. I didn't have time to do more than one blush but I'd have included Eddie Funkhouser's Peep Show too if I had. I'd love that Hourglass one to add to my collection.

  5. Your photos and all these pretty blushes really do look like spring! I have to dig out my Milani baked blushes coz they are very nice. I've always wanted to try the Clinique flower blush coz it's so darn cute. I wonder if spring will ever show up here? I had hoped the storm coming on Wednesday would go out to sea, but it sounds like it's headed this way again :(
