My Complexion's New Best Friend

My complexion needs all of the hydration and nourishment it can get especially this time of year and one product I'm relying on for my fall and winter skin care is the new Farmhouse Fresh Goods luscious Chocolate Fig Vitamin Recovery Serum. This lightweight, silky gel-creme is packed with delicious chocolate, honey, figs, raspberries and Texas wildflowers that deliver a nutrient rich cocktail brimming with vitamins and antioxidants that deliver enhanced hydration and glowing, plumped, softer skin.

Farmhouse Fresh Chocolate Fig Vitamin Recovery Serum has a light, sweet scent that combines chocolate, fruit, raspberries, honey and a hint of fresh flowers that may sound like a crazy scent combo but it works! And the scent doesn't last long, once it is applied and sinks into the skin so don't worry about smelling it all day or having the scent interfere with anything else you are using or irritating a loved one who comes close.

Packaging and Particulars

Chocolate Fig Vitamin Recovery Serum comes packaged in a recyclable 2 fl. oz plastic jar that, while easy to use is, for a klutz like me a real spill hazard. As pretty as the jar looks on my dressing table, it is not air or light protective and leaves the product vulnerable to contamination or premature spoiling. In my opinion, a nice dark tinted pump bottle would have been a much better packaging option for this lovely product.

Farmhouse Fresh Chocolate Fig Vitamin Recovery Serum is made from natural and organic ingredients and is gluten free and cruelty free but not vegan, as it contains honey. Farmhouse Fresh Goods are paraben, sulfate and phthalate free.

Best Use Practice

After cleansing and toning, I dip up a small amount of the serum with a clean finger or spatula and smooth and gently pat and press into my skin. I can use this up close to my very sensitive eyes without any irritation and I love the additional hydration boost it provides to that that delicate area. I let the serum sink in a few minutes until it dries before applying my eye cream and moisturizer. In the morning, I wake up to a softer, plumped and more youthful looking complexion.

  2. It *sounds* lovely, but as a fellow klutzy person I'll definitely agree that the jar looks like an accident waiting to happen. Maybe you could decant it into a pump bottle? Jars and pots look pretty, but man...unless the stuff in them is thick I'm always worried I'm going to manage to overturn the things and make a ridiculous (not to mention expensive!) mess. Very valid points about protection from light/air/contamination as well. I've never opened a pump to get the last bits out and found rogue cat fluff. Wish I could say the same about jars.... lol

  3. I have to admit it does look rather clunky and i dont like the fact its an open product as others have said it can lead to contamination i would hope there is a least a good preservative inside since its open to air and such
