Why My Skin Loves the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence and Yours Will, Too

Why My Skin Loves the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence and Yours Will, Too 1

why are we talking about essence, again?

Well, because my skin loves it and I think that your skin would, too! I use an essence morning and night, when I do my regular skin care routine and I rarely skip it. I got started using essence when a friend of mine gave me a bottle. I had been reading about essence and it's benefits and I was curious about what it could do for my skin but I remained a bit skeptical. I let the gift bottle sit around, for a while before I started using it but let me tell you, once I did, I couldn't stop! I began feeling a difference in my skin almost right away and with consistent use I have enjoyed the benefits of increased hydration, softer, firmer skin and that "glass skin glow". Gentle reader, essence is the real thing and I'm sharing with you, today one of the essences in my regular rotation.

Why My Skin Loves the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence and Yours Will, Too 2

what is it?

Today, we're talking about the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Essence. I'm so happy that the Korean beauty brand Peach & Lily is available not only through their own website but from Ulta beauty, as well. When I was doing a little "break my no buy from hell" shopping, I was able to pile this essence and another wished for Peach & Lily beauty treat into my cart, have them delivered and get started trying them out.

what can it do for me?

Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence is designed to:

  • help rehydrate the skin - don't forget that even oily skin can be dehydrated and essence is a great way to moisturize that skin type!
  • soothe redness and irritation
  • smooth rough texture
  • brighten uneven skin tone and dark spots
  • temporarily plump and soften fine lines and wrinkles

what's in it?

Some of the superstar ingredients in the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Essence are:
  • Bamboo Extract - rich in skin protective and strengthening antioxidants
  • Adenosine - clinically proven to help firm, energize and smooth the skin's surface
  • Niacinamide - quells inflammation and evens dark spots
  • Hyaluronic Acid Complex - a proprietary blend of short, medium and long chain hyaluronic acid molecules that pulls moisture from the air to deeply hydrate and plump every layer of the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Yeast Ferment - delivers powerful nutrients and antioxidants to aid in the skin's cellular renewal
  • Radish Seed Extract - helps nourish skin and combat premature aging
  • Lotus Extract - combats free radical damage from sun, pollution and stress

my experience and how I use it

After I cleanse, exfoliate, mask (if I'm masking, that day) and tone, I grab a bottle of facial mist and my Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence from my skin care fridge and dispense a couple of drops of this liquid gel textured essence into my left hand, grab my mist with the right and lightly, evenly mist my skin, hair line to bust line then I quickly, gently rub the essence between my hands to evenly disperse it then pat and press it into my dampened skin. I like to repeat these steps from four to eight times, just depending on my skin's need for extra hydration or how much time I have. Once I've done that, I do another light misting then start applying the treatment serums and moisturizer that I'm planning to use, at that time.

Using an essence, especially when I layer it with mist drives much needed hydration to my Sahara Desert dry skin and helps to up it's overall moisture level leaving it feeling so much softer, smoother, plumped and glowing long after I've applied the rest of my skin care. I'm not indulging in hyperbole when I say that essence is now an indispensable part of my skin care routine and I'm not willing to be without it.

If you are curious about trying an essence or you would like to add a new one to your skin care arsenal, hit up your local Ulta Beauty or order the Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence, $39.00 for 3.38 fl oz. I know that this essence is a tiny bit spendy but a bottle lasts a long time and the results and benefits to my complexion make it worth the price.

  1. Youve sold me on wanting to try this one. But almost $40....I just signed up for a race so a beauty treat is going to have to wait!

    1. There is another brand, COSRX that is really good and less expensive. I love their Snail 96 Power Essence and I'm thinking of picking up another one, too. You can find them at Ulta.

  2. So an essence is lighter than a serum?

    1. Yes, it is. It's a first treatment/hydration step before serums and moisturizer.

    1. You don't have to do the multi layers of essence and mist. Just patting some into your skin, before your other products is beneficial.

  6. I've been really curious about essences and never taken the plunge. They seemed almost superfluous, especially when there are so many different types of skin care treatments to try, but your review and more importantly your results have convinced me that I probably need to try one! Thanks for the review!

    1. There is a hyaluronic acid essence I have my eye on and I use a HA serum, as well. HA is one of my skin's power ingredients.
