Why I Love Airelle Skin Care Anti Aging Manuka Honey Face Mask for Winter Dry Skin Care

It's only November but my skin is already in full on winter freakout mode and it's time to ramp my skin care routine into cold weather survival mode. That means hauling out the big guns, the ultra hydrating masks, creams and oils that my Sahara Desert dry skin can't live without.

If you have very dry skin like I do, you know what colder days, lower humidity, increased winds and indoor heating can do to your face. One product that I'm relying on to get me through is the Airelle Skin Care Anti Aging Hydrating Manuka Honey Face Mask, a cruelty free and silky-smooth, lightweight yet deeply moisturizing face mask that not only helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it leaves my skin soft, plumped up, glowing and hydrated. How, exactly does a lightweight mask do that?

Well, the secret lies in the formulation. Airelle Skin Care Anti Aging Hydrating Manuka Honey Face Mask contains New Zealand Manuka honey, prized for it's hydrating, nourishing and healing properties. In addition, Airelle Skin Care products contain jojoba oil, aloe vera, Vitamins C and E and CoQ10 and Barrimatrix which is a specialized, clinically proven ingredient that helps slow the onset of new wrinkle formation while it makes the complexion feel and look firmer and more youthful. Hydrated, youthful and firmer are three things that I like my skin to look and this mask helps it get there.

Using this mask couldn't be easier or more pleasant. I pull my hair back and secure it with a spa head band and I use a synthetic paddle style foundation brush to dip out the amount I'll need onto the back of my hand then from there, apply the mask to my face. I like to use a brush for a few reasons; I don't like getting my fingers all goopy with mask, the brush applies a smoother, more even coat of product to my face and I'm dipping into my jar of product less frequently. I think that I waste less product, using my brush and that makes it last longer, too. Yeah, gentle reader, Mama's cheap. Hey, the cost of good skin care, these days, can you blame me?

Anyway, I like to let the mask sit on my face for a good twenty minutes or so then, gently cleanse it away with lukewarm water and a soft muslin cloth. Pro tip: Muslin cloths for baby care are less expensive than muslin cloths for face/skin care and are just as good, in fact I find them to be a little thicker, softer and just as long lasting.

After I rinse, I pat my skin dry and continue with my skin care routine while enjoying silky skin that has that lovely, glassy smooth finish and luminous glow.

Airelle Skin Care Anti Aging Hydrating Manuka Honey Face Mask, $71.30 is just thing we of the dry skinned persuasion need to gentle our complexions through this coming winter. This mask is also perfect post long haul flight to help reinvigorate skin stressed by being trapped at 30,000 in a tube of dry, nasty recycled air for hours and hours.

I honestly love this face mask. I know that it is a little spendy but in my opinion, it's worth the price point. My skin loves this stuff and the results prove it out. My only teeny-tiny gripe with the Airelle Skin Care Anti Aging Hydrating Manuka Honey Face Mask is that it doesn't smell like a pot of sweet, golden honey. There is a hint of it, in the distance, if I search for it but I admit, I was hoping for a real Winnie the Pooh moment when I first opened the jar. Oh well, it's not a deal breaker and I suppose that the light, almost not there herbal/natural scent would be more amenable to those who are scent sensitive.

Did I mention that Airelle Skin Care is cruelty free? Yeah, it is, so that is something to feel good about, too!

Have you tried Airelle Skin Care Anti Aging Hydrating Manuka Honey Face Mask? What do you think about it?

  3. I'm going to give this mask another try - I didn't love it at first but I'm OBSESSED with their moisturizer so I'm willing to try the mask again. I'm going to also look into muslin cloths.

    1. Definitely try the mask, again. I've found that products that I didn't like, right away worked for me in a different season. Skin. So mercurial. Muslin cloths were a game changer for me. They are so nice.

    1. Have you tried applying oil over your moisturizer? I find that it is more effective at sealing in hydration than moisturizer over oil. :)

  5. These sound really nice! I have normal to slightly oily skin, but I prefer to use products generally geared towards drier skin types as they keep my oil levels lower. My face has been fine, but my hands are definitely feeling it now!

I love to know what you're thinking. I dig honest discourse and lively discussion, even a good debate. I do not dig hate speech or personal attacks either against myself or my gentle readers.
